Chess Event at the Central Library During CABPSAT

October 16–17, 2026

The Central Library of the Lyceum of Aparri served as a venue for the chess event held during the CABPSAT on October 16–17, 2026. Lyceum of Aparri Supports Aparri East Central School’s Book Donation Drive: “Zumba Through the Pages: Move, Learn, Live! ”

The Lyceum of Aparri proudly supported the meaningful Book Donation Drive of Aparri East Central School held on October 3, 2026, with the theme “Zumba Through the Pages: Move, Learn, Live! "This initiative highlighted the importance of promoting literacy, fostering a love for reading, and providing learners with access to valuable educational resources.

Representing the Lyceum of Aparri in this meaningful endeavor were Ms. Lani Dela Cuesta, Assistant Librarian, and Mr. Pablo Laurente, Lyceum of Aparri Coordinator, with the approval of Mrs. Melinda Villariña, Chief Librarian. Their participation reflected the institution’s commitment to supporting literacy programs and strengthening partnerships with other educational institutions in the community.

Through this initiative, the Lyceum of Aparri demonstrated its continuing dedication to promoting a culture of reading and making learning resources accessible to young learners. The activity also highlighted the importance of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) in developing innovative initiatives that extend library services beyond the campus and support the educational needs of the wider community.

The Book Donation Drive served as a meaningful expression of generosity, collaboration, and shared responsibility in nurturing young readers. Commerce Students Take Mock Board Examination at Central Library - Lyceum of Aparri
October 13, 2026
The Commerce students are taking a mock board examination today, October 13, 2026, as part of their academic preparation and assessment. The activity aims to enhance their knowledge, assess their understanding of major subject areas, and help them prepare for future professional examinations.
The mock board examination is facilitated by Professor Luzvinda Sinon and Professor Ninia Lumauan, who guide the students throughout the activity. This initiative provides students with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with examination procedures, strengthen their test-taking skills, and identify areas that need further improvement.
Through activities like this, the institution continues to demonstrate its commitment to academic excellence and student preparedness. The total number of students who conducted research and utilized the resources in the library for the month of SEPTEMBER, first semester, Academic Year 2026–2027.

The graph indicates that, across departments, ENGINEERING had the largest percentage of users, followed by COMMERCE, CICS, ELEMENTARY, EDUCATION, CRIMINOLOGY, LIBERAL ARTS, HEALTH, SHS, and JHS, in the sequence.

CHED Conducts Technical Visit at Lyceum of Aparri

On September 17, 2026, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) conducted a technical visit and monitoring and evaluation at the Lyceum of Aparri (LOA), engaging the institution’s administrators, faculty, and personnel in a review of its academic and institutional practices.

The program opened with a prayer led by Koro Liseano, followed by the Philippine National Anthem led by Dr. Eden R. Purificacion. Rev. Fr. Joel M. Reyes, School President, delivered the welcome message, while Ms. Annaliza C. Balubal introduced the LOA administrators.

The CHED technical team, composed of Ma’am Anjanette Batulan, RQAT Member; Dr. Pilar B. Acorda, Education Supervisor II of CHED Regional Office II; and Dr. Leila Ar**la, Technical Panel Member, conducted the monitoring and evaluation activities through document review, discussions, and consultations with LOA officials and personnel.

As part of the evaluation, Chief Librarian Mrs. Melinda Villariña participated in the validation of the library’s compliance with applicable CHED requirements and standards, presenting relevant documents and information concerning the library’s resources, services, facilities, and operations.

The activity concluded with the presentation of findings by Dr. Leila Ar**la, followed by the Acceptance Message delivered by Dr. Evelyn L. Pascua, Vice President for Academics.

LOA expresses its sincere appreciation to the CHED technical team for the valuable guidance and feedback. The visit further strengthens the institution’s commitment to quality education, continuous improvement, and adherence to higher education standards.

On September 3, 2026, the Grade 2 students, together with their adviser, Ms. Cristine Mae Tumamao, participated in a meaningful lesson on the different kinds of Bibles.
The activity provided students with an opportunity to learn more about the Bible, its different forms and editions, and how these resources can be explored and used in their studies.

On September 3, 2026, the criminology students conducted their mock board examination at the Central Library, with the guidance and supervision of Professor Formaran.

The library provided a quiet, conducive environment for the students as they prepared for the Criminologist Licensure Examination.
