"PUROK VISITATION"

Argao MPS personnel led by PLT DANTE ESTENZO, Deputy COP under the supervision of PMAJ JANUS O GIANGAN, OIC, conducted a proactive community engagement initiative by visiting Purok Lansones of Barangay Bala-as in Argao, Cebu.

During the visit, Argao MPS personnel spoke to the locals during the visit, urging them to report any suspicious activity to the Argao PNP as soon as possible and stressing the vital significance of being watchful and proactive in protecting their surroundings. Furthermore also discussed about EO 70 the NTF-ELCAC(about terrorism), BIDA program for anti-illegal drugs campaign and laws protecting women and children.

Additionally, this initiative seeks to strengthen ties between the community and the police and foster constructive interactions.

"30th National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) Culminating Ceremony 2024"

PNP personnel from Argao MPS, under the leadership of PMAJ Janus O. Giangan, Officer-In-Charge, held an information drive at Langtad Elementary School, targeting Grade 5 and Grade 6 students. The event focused on a range of critical topics such as crime prevention strategies, drug awareness through the BIDA Program, community anti-terrorism initiatives, and key laws like RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons), RA 8353 (Anti-R**e), and RA 10627 (Anti-Bullying). These discussions were part of the activities for the 30th National Crime Prevention Week, aimed at raising awareness among the youth about important societal issues. Informational materials were handed out to ensure that students had resources to review and deepen their understanding of the topics discussed.

The activity aimed to empower children with the essential knowledge to safeguard themselves from abuse and prevent them from being easily influenced by harmful individuals who might threaten their future and development. By raising awareness on these critical issues, the program sought to ensure that young learners are better prepared to recognize and avoid potential dangers, contributing to their overall well-being and personal growth.

Section 15. Use in Public Place. — The use of Vaporized Ni****ne and Non-Ni****ne Products shall be prohibited in all indoor public places except in DVAs, or in point-of-sale establishments for purposes of conducting product demonstrations.

The use of Vaporized Ni****ne and Non-Ni****ne Products shall be absolutely prohibited in the following public places:

(a) Centers of youth activity such as play schools, preparatory schools, elementary schools, high schools, colleges and universities, youth hostels and recreational facilities for persons under eighteen (18) years old;

(b) Elevators and stairwells;

(c) Locations in which fire hazards are present, including gas stations and storage areas for flammable liquids, gas explosives or combustible materials;

(d) Within the buildings and premises of public and private hospitals, medical, dental and optical clinics, health centers, nursing homes, dispensaries and laboratories;

(e) Public conveyances and public facilities including airport and ship terminals and train and bus stations, restaurants and conference halls, except for DVAs;

(f) Food preparation areas;

(g) Churches and other similar places where people congregate for worship; and

(h) Within the building and premises of government offices, except for DVAs.

PROACTIVE INSPECTION AND POLICE VISIBILITY ON PAWNSHOPS, MONEY REMITTANCES, AND FINANCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS

The Argao Municipal Police Station personnel, under the direct supervision of PMAJ JANUS O GIANGAN, Officer In Charge, conducted a proactive inspection and police visibility on pawnshops, money remittances, and financial establishments to emphasize our unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the community.

Further, engaged in proactive dialogues with the security personnel to assess security measures, discuss potential risks, and reinforce collaborative efforts in maintaining a secure environment.

The purpose of this activity is to reinforce a secure environment through cooperative efforts between the police and financial establishments by fostering strong relationships and open communication channels to create a safer community for all Argawanons.
