SK Villamonte is now financially independent!

Salamat sa amon hardworking SK Treasurer, Rex Legaspi, sa pag pakadto pakari bisan naga tagiti ang init, para ma process ang mga documents nga kinanglanon sa mga offices sa pagpatigayon sini. Salamat man sa aton Barangay Treasury office sa smooth nga endorsement sang papeles kag pondo.

*Sa idalom sang SK Reform Law, dapat may gina tawag nga "Fiscal Autonomy" ang SK, ambot silingon sini may separation of power kag independence ang SK sa ila mother Barangay in terms sang pag appropriate sang pondo, financial processes, kag pag implementar sang ila projects.

Paid a quick visit to some dear friends who have been our avid supporters in implementing brgy projects and were also volunteers of my Dad during the last election season. Ang election agi lang, pero ang relasyon naton sa aton mga abyan kag naga bulig sa aton importante solid gihapon 💛

I was thrilled to find this document on my desk yesterday during our first Barangay Session of the year. This ordinance was drafted last July 2022, and went through several revisions since its public hearing. It was finally passed during the last Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod last December 21, 2022. Sharing this victory with our SK Council, Barangay Council, fellow Villamontehanon youth.

Would like to also recognize Ms. Elvira Tipon whose guidance and assistance was instrumental in materializing this ordinance.

Councilor Em Ang is one of the most intelligent, hard-working, articulate, and excellent women in goverment that I personally know and aspire to be like. So if there's an opportunity nga maka pungko tupad sa iya, I wouldn't miss any chance to learn from her, and of course, get a photo taken with her kay ka gwapa gwapa gid ni ya sa iya 🥰

Thank you Youthled PH and One Western Visayas Coalition for inviting me to be one of your speakers for the panel discussion on stories of successful youth-led advocacy-based campaigns in Western Visayas 🫶🏻

It's an honor to be given this opportunity to share my humble experiences on being a young public servant in the SK. More than anything, I'm thrilled to have met passionate and excellent youth leaders who are willing to take on the call of leadership in governance in the upcoming Barangay and SK elections in 2023! Wew, exciting times ahead! 🥳

Finally got my 2nd booster today! Sang nagligad pagid ko tani mapa booster, pero daw gin tamad ko mag kadto sa vaccination sites 😅 mayo lang gid may ara on-site kagina sa amon subdivision.

Kudos sa aton mga mapisan nga Barangay Health Workers sang Villamonte upod kay Ms. Norma Torres and Dra. Dianne Laput, nga naga libot gid sa kada purok kag subdivision para mangin accessible ang aton vaccines sa publiko 👏🏼 Wala nagid sang rason nga indi kita magpa booster. Samtang naga amat amat kita transition sa aton nga new normal, nami gid nga may dugang kita nga layer of protection kontra sa COVID-19 virus 💉💪🏼

Honoring our patriarch on this day. The most patient, persistent, resilient, charismatic, astute, ma diskarte man I know. Had it not been for his example and encouragement, I would not be in public service today.

I owe my strength of heart, wit, love of service to others, boldness to dream big and blaze my own trail, to him. Happy birthday, Dad! Ikaw ang tunay na lodi 🤘🏼
