The Committee on Energy, chaired by Congressman Jose C. Alvarez, together with the Committee on Legislative Franchises, chaired by Cong. Jeffrey P. Ferrer, conducted a Joint Inquiry Hearing on HR 1024 today, May 26, 2026.

The resolution seeks an inquiry, in aid of legislation, into the back-to-back tripping of the 500 KV Ilijan-Dasmariñas and Ilijan-Tayabas transmission lines, and the subsequent red and yellow alerts in the Luzon and Visayas grids.

HR 1024 was authored by Speaker Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III and Senior Deputy Speaker Ferdinand L. Hernandez.
