COMMUNITY MEETING | PUROK ISLA

Earlier today, the residents of Purok Isla gathered for a meaningful Community Meeting led by Purok President Jerrold Abby Go together with the Purok Council to discuss important matters affecting the community, particularly the safety and welfare of the residents and the learners of Isla Elementary School.

We also extend our appreciation to Ma’am Shiela Paco, Principal of Isla Elementary School, Sir Joe Salvacion and Ms Jean Las Piñas for their presence and valuable insights during the discussion. Their participation highlighted the shared commitment of the community and the school in ensuring a safe and secure environment for both residents and students.

The meeting served as an avenue for open dialogue where residents were able to express their concerns, share ideas, and collectively look for ways to strengthen community cooperation in addressing issues that affect public safety and the well-being of our learners.

This gathering reflects the importance of unity and collaboration between the community and the school in promoting a safe, peaceful, and supportive environment for everyone in Purok Isla.

COMMUNITY DIALOGUE FOR WELFARE AND SAFETY

Barangay Villamonte, under the leadership of Hon. Rommel P. Flores, successfully conducted the 1st Community Dialogue between the residents of Purok Isla, Purok Gugma, Purok Medalla Milagrosa, and Purok Sulom II and TRIUMPH Bacolod City, with the presence of Kagawad Gary “Nonoy” Delfinado, Barangay Administrator Jerrold Go, Lupon Andre Jean Las Piñas, and Purok Presidents of Medalla Milagrosa, Isla and Sulom II respectively.

The dialogue served as an open and constructive platform where the concerns and sentiments of the community were heard, clarified, and properly addressed. This initiative highlights the Barangay’s strong commitment to protecting the welfare, safety, and interests of its residents while fostering cooperation with private stakeholders.

During the meeting, TRIUMPH Bacolod City expressed its full willingness to cooperate with the community and the local government. As a result of the discussion and mutual understanding between all parties, the company has temporarily agreed to hold its activities while it secures the necessary government permits and clearances required to operate.

This collaborative step demonstrates a shared commitment to transparency, compliance with regulations, and prioritizing community safety above all.

Once the required permits are secured, a 2nd Community Dialogue will be scheduled where TRIUMPH Bacolod City will formally present their project and operational plans, ensuring that community safety, environmental responsibility, and public welfare remain the top priorities.

Barangay Villamonte remains dedicated to building solutions through dialogue, partnership, and responsible development for the benefit of the entire community.

The Office of the Punong Barangay of Barangay Villamonte under the leadership of Rommel P. Flores respectfully invites all concerned and bonafide residents of Purok Isla to attend an important community dialogue regarding the operations of Triumph and the passage of heavy equipment along Purok Isla Road.

This dialogue aims to provide an open and orderly venue where residents can raise their concerns, particularly on matters of safety, road conditions, and the overall impact of heavy equipment movement within the community. The Barangay Council hopes to foster constructive discussion and cooperation among all parties involved to ensure the welfare and protection of our residents.
