Purok Rosal proudly stands as 1st Runner-Up in the Golden Jubilee 50th Obando Festival 2026, a celebration of faith, culture, and unity that we will always cherish.
To our dancers, your journey speaks louder than the result. Every rehearsal, every sacrifice, and every moment of exhaustion became part of a greater story one of resilience, teamwork, and devotion. You did not just perform; you honored tradition and gave life to the spirit of our community.
Always remember, you have already made Purok Rosal proud. True success is not only seen in rankings, but in the hearts you moved and the legacy you continue to build.
May this experience remind us that growth comes from every step forward, even in moments of near victory. Let us carry this wisdom with humility and fire, and continue moving forward with courage and purpose toward the next journey ahead. 🌸✨

Kahilum kag Kasanag sang Prusisyon sang Lubong
The Good Friday burial procession remains one of the most solemn expressions of faith during Holy Week, bringing communities together in remembrance of the burial of Jesus Christ after His crucifixion. Under the guidance of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish, the procession reflects a shared act of devotion where prayer, sacred images, and candlelight transform the streets into a space of reflection and communal worship.
Within the procession, movement and silence work together to create a reflective atmosphere. As the faithful walk alongside religious images, each step becomes an act of remembrance, while the light from candles symbolizes prayers offered in sorrow and hope. The presence of the community highlights how devotion is shared, where faith is expressed not only through ritual but through quiet participation and reverence.
“Sa kahilum sang prusisyon, ang tagsa ka siga sang kandila daw pamatuod sang pagtuo, nga nagapadayon bisan sa tion sang kasubo.” 🕯️
More than a religious observance, the burial procession reflects the enduring place of tradition in Filipino spiritual life. It preserves a collective memory of sacrifice while inviting personal reflection, showing how faith continues to be lived through simple yet meaningful acts of presence, prayer, and communal devotion. ✝️

Bisan Mabug-at ang Krus: Pagtuo sa Tunga sang Pag-antos
The Via Crucis, or Way of the Cross, is more than a Catholic devotion observed during Lent. It is a spiritual journey that invites believers to remember the suffering, sacrifice, and love of Jesus Christ through fourteen stations that trace His path from condemnation to burial. While often prayed in churches and communities, Via Crucis also serves as a quiet reflection on how suffering remains part of human life.
Historically, the devotion began when early Christians traveled to Jerusalem to follow the route believed to be taken by Jesus toward Calvary, especially along the Via Dolorosa. As pilgrimage became difficult for many believers, churches began placing the stations inside their own spaces so that people could experience the same prayerful journey without leaving their communities. According to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Stations of the Cross became a way for Christians to meditate deeply on Christ’s passion through prayer and silence.
Yet the meaning of Via Crucis goes beyond remembering historical events. Each station reflects situations that people still experience today—falling under pressure, carrying burdens, meeting sorrow, and continuing despite pain. Jesus carrying the cross reminds believers that suffering is not foreign to faith; it is often where faith becomes more visible.
In many Filipino communities, especially during Lent, praying the Via Crucis becomes both devotion and shared culture. Families walk together, pause at each station, and listen to reflections that connect Christ’s suffering with ordinary struggles such as sacrifice for family, grief, and forgiveness. In this way, devotion becomes close to daily life.
"Bisan mabug-at ang krus, pagtuo sa tunga sang pag-antos,” reflects a truth many believers understand: even when burdens feel heavy, faith creates strength to continue. The cross is not only a symbol of pain, but also of endurance and hope.
Via Crucis remains meaningful because it teaches that suffering does not end in defeat. It reminds people that every burden carried with faith can become a path toward compassion, understanding, and renewal ✨
