DAY 3. More Bagonhons continue to benefit from the free dental services on the third day of the Aloha Dental Mission at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center. February 25.
The activity was spearheaded by the City Government of Bago in partnership with St. Scholastica’s Bacolod Alumnae Foundation and the Aloha Dental Mission Team.
Local and foreign volunteer dentists provided free tooth extraction and filling services to residents, bringing brighter and healthier smiles to the community.
The dental mission also supported the observance of National Oral Health Month and formed part of the city’s 60th Charter Anniversary celebration themed “Better, Brighter Bago @ 60.”

DAY 2. Bagonhons continue to avail the free dental services on the second day of the Aloha Dental Mission at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center in Bago City.
Now in its fourth year, the five-day activity, from February 23 to 27, was spearheaded by the City Government of Bago in collaboration with St. Scholastica’s Bacolod Alumnae Foundation and Aloha Dental Mission Team.
Local and foreign doctors provided free tooth extraction and filling services.
On the first day, a total of 315 residents were catered. Of the figure, 280 availed of the free tooth extraction while 35 received tooth filling services.
Moreover, the city was celebrating the National Oral Health Month 2026 themed “Tara na! May Cleaning at Flouride, Saan ka pa?”
It also formed part of its 60th Charter Anniversary celebration themed "Better, Brighter Bago @ 60."

ALOHA DENTAL MISSION. Now in its fourth year, the Aloha Dental Mission has returned to Bago City to provide free tooth extractions and dental fillings to residents.
This year’s initiative was a collaborative effort between the Aloha Medical Mission team, the City Government of Bago, through its Primary Care Facility, and the Provincial Health Office.
In observance of National Oral Health Month, the dental mission successfully kicked off, February 23, at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center.
The team from Hawaii, composed of 30 staff members, was joined by dentists and teams from the Philippine Dental Association-Bacolod City Chapter, Philippine Dental Association-Negros Occidental Chapter, and other Local Government Units. The mission ran through February 27.
Dr. Jesilou Demonteverde of the Bago City PCF Dental Services reported that on the first day, the team served approximately 280 patients for tooth extractions and 25 for fillings. She emphasized that the mission is part of an ongoing advocacy to promote oral health awareness that goes beyond basic daily brushing.
Dr. Demonteverde noted that services were provided on a first-come, first-served basis and encouraged our kasimanwas to take advantage of these free services.
During the opening program, daycare children also received fluoride treatments.
Aloha Dental Mission Representative Dollcy Gebauer expressed her gratitude for the city's warm hospitality.
Also in attendance were Councilors Robert Javellana and Dr. Leonilo Del Carmen, Bago City Health Officer Dr. Ferdinand Ramon Mayoga, among others.

PRECISION AND DISCIPLINE. The 1st Mayora Cup Funshoot gathered shooting enthusiasts and participants for a day of competitive and friendly marksmanship at the Bago City Police Station Target Range, February 22.
Present during the activity were Mayora Mayette Javellana, Councilors Robert Javellana and Jorge Araneta and City Administrator Edwin de Nicolas who expressed their support to the participants.
The competition featured different categories where shooters showcased their skills and discipline.
The activity formed part of the 60th Diamond Charter Anniversary celebration of Bago City, themed “Better, Brighter, Bago @60.”
