BABAE TABANG SA BABAE! 💗🎀

Breast cancer and cervical cancer remain among the major causes of cancer-related illness and death among Filipino women. Early screening is important for early detection, timely treatment, and prevention of complications.

In celebration of Pinktober, the Bantayan LGU with the Bantayan Primary Care Facility are organizing Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening activities throughout the month of October in the Poblacion barangays and other barangays with a high population of women.

The activity will include:

🎀 Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Campaigns
🎀 Education on signs and symptoms and risk factors
🎀 Information on what we can do to prevent and detect cancer early
🎀 FREE Pap Smear and VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid)
🎀 FREE Clinical Breast Examination (CBE)
🎀 Free Thermal Ablation for eligible patients with cervical precancerous lesions

The activity will be spearheaded by Doc Jaja, a trained breast and cervical cancer screening provider, together with Ma’am Mayles Jugan, PHN Focal Person, and our dedicated Midwives.

This initiative is aligned with the Department of Health’s cancer prevention and control efforts and is supported through our partnership with RAFI (Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.).

📣 Watch out for the screening schedule!

Everyone is welcome to participate, including women from neighboring barangays. Let us encourage our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, and fellow women to get screened.

Ang tulo ka lungsod sa Bantayan Island—Bantayan, Madridejos, ug Santa Fe— miapil sa pioneering initiative sa Department of Health (DOH) alang sa pagpalig-on sa cervical cancer prevention ug elimination sa mga Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA) pinaagi sa Human Papilloma Virus Deoxyribonucleic Acid (HPV DNA) Testing ug iSCERV.

Tumong niini nga mas mapaduol sa mga kababayen-an ang sayong screening, detection, referral, ug hustong pagdumala sa cervical cancer, ilabina sa mga komunidad nga lisod maabot.

Mitambong ang mga representante gikan sa DOH, Jhpiego, RAFI, ug Municipal Health Offices sa tulo ka lungsod sa Bantayan Island.

🩸 MUNICIPALITY OF BANTAYAN HONORED AT “ADLAW PASALAMAT SA DUGONG HALAD 2026” ❤️

The Municipality of Bantayan proudly attended the “Adlaw Pasalamat sa Dugong Halad 2026”, held on September 22, 2026, at Sarrosa International Hotel, Cebu City.

The program, conducted by the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), recognizes and honors blood donors—the modern-day heroes who selflessly give a part of themselves to save lives.

Representing the Municipality of Bantayan were:
