Sa simpleng gupit, naihatid ang saya, kumpiyansa, at malasakit sa ating mga Lolo PDL at kanilang mga mahal sa buhay.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat kay SIR B**G VILLANUEVA at sa kanyang buong team sa pagbabahagi ng kanilang oras, talento, at serbisyo. Higit pa sa isang libreng gupit, ito ay isang makabuluhang paraan upang iparamdam sa ating mga nakatatanda na sila ay mahalaga, inaalagaan, at hindi nakakalimutan. 💙✂️

As part of the celebration of 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐄𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, JO1 Arjay H Aguda, Help Desk Officer of Puerto Princesa City Jail–Male Dormitory, conducted a PDL Family Visitation and Senior Citizen (SC) PDL Family Visitation, reaching out to families from Brgys. Sta. Lourdes, Iwahig, Bucana, Montible, Mangingisda, and Inagawan. The activity reached 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 (𝟓) 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐂 𝐏𝐃𝐋 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 (𝟑) 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐃𝐋.

The activity aimed to assist 𝐒𝐂 𝐏𝐃𝐋 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 by collecting the necessary documents from their relatives. Gift packs from the management were also distributed to the families as a gesture of care, support, and appreciation.

Beyond document collection, the visitation provided an opportunity to reach families who could not personally visit their loved ones due to financial constraints and the distance from their respective communities to the jail facility. It highlighted the importance of maintaining family connections and extending support to PDL and their loved ones, especially to our senior citizens.

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) extended its Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) to persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at San Jose District Jail.

A total of 147 PDLs were registered under the program and received free X-ray examinations and medicines, in partnership with the Mindoro Occidental Premier Medical Group Multipurpose Cooperative (MOPMGMPC) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). | via Dianne Gorembalem/PIA

True to its commitment to bridge the gap between the government and the public through access to information, the Freedom of Information-Program Management Office (FOI-PMO) of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) joined the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in the launch of Kalayaan sa Kaalaman on 01 October 2026 at the Cebu City Jail-Male Dormitory in Cebu City.

Integrated into BJMP’s existing developmental services, the Kalayaan sa Kaalaman program seeks to promote awareness among persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) of their right to access information and encourage the responsible exercise of this right. Through the initiative, PDLs are provided with information that may help them better understand government policies, programs, services, and mechanisms available to them.

During the activity, Atty. Robielyn Kate Nerpio of the FOI-PMO highlighted the role of the FOI Program in bridging the gap between the government and the public by promoting access to information. She also discussed the importance of being informed about government services and responsibly exercising one’s right to information.

The activity was conducted as part of the 15th BJMP Community Relations Service Month and the DILG Pag-asa Expo: Katarungan at Serbisyo Caravan (Visayas Leg).

𝗦𝗦𝗦 𝗘-𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥, 𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗗 𝗦𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗨𝗗 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗝𝗔𝗜𝗟

BANSUD, Oriental Mindoro — Inilunsad sa Bansud District Jail ang Offsite SSS E-Center upang mailapit ang mga serbisyo ng Social Security System (SSS) sa jail personnel at persons deprived of liberty (PDL).

Kasabay nito ang SSS Orientation na isinagawa ng Welfare and Development Officers ng jail unit katuwang ang SSS Calapan City Branch, sa pangunguna ni Branch Head I Imelda G. Familaran.

Umabot sa 217 transactions ang naitala, kabilang ang 114 inquiries, 33 SSS number issuances, 7 member-data corrections, 1 web registration at 62 iba pang concerns tungkol sa loans, contributions at employment history. Sa kabuuan, 132 ang walk-in transactions.

Layunin ng programa na gawing mas accessible, convenient at responsive ang SSS services para sa jail community, kabilang ang personnel at PDL, kahit nasa loob ng correctional facility
