INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEANUP DRIVE

The Barangay Council of Brgy. Sabang, Baybay City, Leyte, headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Elmer Trigosa participated in the International Coastal Cleanup Drive 2025 on September 20, 2025 at 6:00 AM, to observe the global movement intended to unite in maintaining cleanliness in our coastal areas.

PROVISION OF SCHOOL BAGS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES

With all our hearts from Brgy. Sabang, we would like to express our sincerest of gratitude to our beloved City Mayor of Baybay City, Leyte, Hon. Jose Carlos L. Cari, Vice Mayor Hon. Ernesto M. Butawan, along with all SP Members, as well as to Mr. Manuel Icon P. Donayre, from the CSWD Office, Mrs. Eva A. Atem, and all staff members present for the provision of School Bags and School Supplies to our daycare children. Our Punong Barangay Hon. Elmer Trigosa and all Barangay Officials of Brgy. Sabang, Baybay City, Leyte are truly thankful for your benevolence and continuous support to our barangay.

This is an inspiration for all Barangay Officials to continue providing the best public service. With such a great leader guiding us, we can aim for a brighter future.

DENGUE SEARCH-AND-DESTROY OPERATION and WEEKLY BARKADA CLEAN-UP
September 07, 2025

The Barangay Sabang Officials conducted both the scheduled Weekly BarKaDA Clean-Up and the Barangay's Quarterly Dengue Search-and Destroy House-to-House Operation. With the efforts of our Barangay Health Workers, assisted by SB Members, SK Officials, and 4Ps Members, under the supervision of Punong Barangay Hon. Elmer Trigosa, houses and small pathways were cleared of mosquito larvae hiding inside unused bottles, buckets, and other materials and areas serving as mosquito breeding grounds.

This activity aimed to also raise awareness against mosquitos and to remind residents to always keep areas secure from being mosquito breeding grounds.

HAPAG sa Barangay ADVOCAY CAMPAIGN
"Halina't Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay"

In order to lessen Malnutrition and Hunger, Barangay Sabang, Baybay City, Leyte proudly supports the nationwide HAPAG Movement promoting urban garden development and food sustainability.

For today's advocacy, we showcase our newly harvested vegetables from our HAPAG Garden, which serves as a symbol of hard work, unity, and health awareness for all. These harvested vegetables will be used to assist in the Feeding Program for Malnourished Children.

Through the HAPAG program, we encourage every household to plant, harvest, and share fresh produce, ensuring both food security and wellness in our community.

SITE INSPECTION FOR THE PROPOSED MANGROVE NURSERY OF BRGY. SABANG
September 9, 2025

The Baybay City Environment and Natural Resources Office, through DIFFON CALUNGSOD and ADEL BAQUEROS, conducted an onsite inspection as response to the Barangay's Resolution proposing a Mangrove Nursery in the barangay.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Baybay City Environment and Natural Resources Office, Engr. GRETEL A. CABRITO, and to our Honorable City Mayor, Hon. JOSE CARLOS L. CARI, for their quick response to our proposal, and for their support on this project.

We aim to enhance our environment management system, promote a healthy environment, and provide opportunities for work through this project.

ORIENTATION FOR CSO ACCREDITATION

We are grateful to the Baybay City Information Office headed by Ma'am MARISSA M. CANO, City Information Officer III for the conduct of the CSO Accreditation Orientation for our Barangay CSOs. Our Punong Barangay, Hon. Elmer Trigosa, along with his SB Members, especially the Barangay Sabang Fisherfolk's Association, Farmer's Association, and Sabang Livestock Grower's Association would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Cano for conducting the orientation herself and providing the exact information our CSOs need.

BRGY. TANOD AND BPOC ONLINE ZOOM ORIENTATION

The Brgy. Tanods and BPOC Members of Brgy. Sabang, Baybay CIty, Leyte attended the DILG Region 8 Online Zoom Orientation for Brgy. Tanods and BPOC Members for the Orientation on the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2024-086. "Re: Omnibus Policy on the Administration and Strengthening Capacities of Brgy. Tanods as Agents of Peace and Development" and the "Deployment of Barangay Tanods in Public Schools." Participated by Punong Barangay Hon. Elmer Trigosa and his BPOC members and Brgy. Tanods.

We are grateful to the DILG Region 8 for the guidance shared by your good office. In return, we shall provide the utmost of our performance as public servants using the knowledge you have shared to us.

BRGY. SABANG 1ST MONDAY OF THE MONTH FLAG CEREMONY

The Barangay Council of Brgy. Sabang, Baybay City, Leyte conducts its 1st Monday of the Month Flag Ceremony duly participated by both Elected and Appointed Officials lead by Punong Barangay Hon. Elmer Trigosa.

This serves the barangay's welcoming of the new month dedicated to serving the public and to encourage unity, patriotism, and as a reminder of our obligations as public servants.
