π¨ ASF ALERT: LET US STAY VIGILANT, BOBON HOG RAISERS! πβ οΈ
The recent confirmation of African Swine Fever (ASF) cases in the Municipalities of Rosario, Lavesares, and Biri is a serious reminder that we must remain vigilant and strengthen our efforts to protect our local hog industry.
To all Hog Raisers of the Municipality of Bobon: DO NOT PANIC, BUT DO NOT BE COMPLACENT. Prevention remains our strongest defense against ASF.
π‘οΈ STRENGTHEN YOUR BIOSECURITY!
β
Restrict unnecessary visitors inside your piggery.
β
Do not allow the entry of pigs, pork products, feeds, equipment, or other materials from unknown or questionable sources.
β
Disinfect footwear, equipment, vehicles, and piggery surroundings regularly.
β
Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness in your pigpen.
β
Avoid sharing equipment with other hog raisers.
β
Do not feed pigs with untreated food scraps or swill.
β
Monitor your pigs daily for signs of illness or unusual deaths.
β
Immediately report suspected ASF cases to the Municipal Agriculture Office/appropriate veterinary authorities.
π· REMEMBER: One infected pig can put an entire community's hog population at risk.
Let us work together to protect our backyard and commercial hog raisers, safeguard our local livelihood, and prevent the entry and spread of ASF in Bobon.
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.
BE VIGILANT. STRENGTHEN BIOSECURITY. PROTECT BOBON'S HOG INDUSTRY. πͺπ
