During scheduled power interruptions, MCOs using generators are reminded to never connect the generator directly to the outlet or CAGELCO I distribution line. Use a proper transfer switch or double throw switch and ensure safe installation by a registered electrician.
Never backfeed power into the distribution line—it can endanger the lives of lineworkers.

Look: 3rd QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED) 2026

The Municipality of Solana actively participated in the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held today, September 10, 2026, with the participation of LGU personnel, BFP Solana, PNP Solana, Barangay DRRM Committees, and schools (teachers) across the municipality.

The drill provided an opportunity for everyone to practice the proper “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and strengthen our readiness and coordination in case of an actual earthquake.

After the activity, the MDRRMO Maria. Gloria B. Pagalilauan and BFP Solana Acting Fire Marshal FInsp. Mona C De Guzman conducted an evaluation of the NSED implementation and the performance of LGU personnel. The assessment focused on the response, coordination, and areas that can still be improved to ensure a more effective and organized response during emergencies.

Preparedness starts with practice. Every drill is a chance to learn, improve, and be better prepared.

WATCH: Join the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) Third Quarter 2026! Let's all duck, cover, and hold together at exactly 2 PM.

Link: tinyurl.com/wxadvisory

➣ Severe Winds

The Southwest Monsoon will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):

HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS

➣ 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook

Up to very rough seas over the following coastal waters:
• Up to 4.5 m: The western seaboards of Babuyan Islands and Ilocos Norte.
• Sea travel is risky for all types or tonnage of vessels. All mariners must remain in port or, if underway, seek shelter or safe harbor as soon as possible until winds and waves subside.

Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters:
• Up to 4.0 m: The seaboards of Batanes and northern Ilocos Sur; the northern seaboard of Babuyan Islands.
• Up to 3.5 m: The seaboards of northern La Union and Zambales; the western seaboards of Pangasinan and Bataan; the remaining seaboard of Ilocos Sur.
• Up to 3.0 m: The western seaboards of Cavite, Batangas, Lubang Islands, northern Occidental Mindoro, and Calamian Islands; the southern seaboard of Bataan; the northern and western seaboards of Kalayaan Islands.
• Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under
these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels.

• Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions.
Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
• It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the landfall point and the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone.
• PILANDOK may become almost stationary over the Philippine Sea east of Extreme Northern Luzon for the next 36 hours before moving generally north northwestward for the remainder of the forecast period. It is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Wednesday (02 September) afternoon or evening. This tropical cyclone is less likely to make landfall over the country and will remain far from the Philippine landmass. The forecast track is highly uncertain and may change in the succeeding bulletins.
• PILANDOK is forecast to intensify into a tropical storm by tomorrow (01 September) and is expected to remain as a tropical storm as it moves towards southern Japan.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.

The next tropical cyclone bulletin will be issued at 11:00 PM today.
