Today we took part on the aannual INSET of teachers from the West Fairview Elementary School and gave the teachers a talk about Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC). Teachers play a great role in the campaign against OSAEC and Human Trafficking.

Attended the 11th Manila Dialogue on Human Trafficking yesterday and was one of the panelists of TIP TALK 3. It was great to share our experiences in the Diocese of Novaliches and the QCLGU on how we fight Human trafficking and OSAEC. I hope by doing so, we could encourage other dioceses and local governments to help put a stop to these evil crimes.

Late post, QC safe seminar was conducted in District 5 attended by almost 200 participqnts from the Barangays, schools, PNP, NGOs and DMAHT. The seminar was so timely as the number of cases of OSAEC ALand Human Trafficking increase in this part of the City. DMAHT fully supported this activity spearheaded by the SSDD od the City Government of Quezon City led by our passsionate mayor, Hon. Joy Belmonte. The speakers were from DOJ IACAT, ASec Michelle Lapuz, PNP WCPD Pol. /Lt. Agustin and SSDD Ms. Maria Volante.

PAHAYAG NG PAMAHALAANG LUNGSOD NG QUEZON

(On rescue of five minors from online child abuse and sexual exploitation)

Ikinalulungkot ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Quezon ang ulat hinggil sa panibagong kaso ng online child abuse at sexual exploitation na iniulat ng NBI.

Lumalabas na iniaalok ng naarestong suspek ang lima niyang kaanak na menor de edad sa isang Canadian national.

Nakababahala ito lalo na't sariling kapamilya ang isinasabak niya sa live online sexual abuse.

Nagpapasalamat ang Lungsod Quezon sa NBI sa mabilis na operasyon na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto ng suspek at sa pagkakaligtas ng limang bata.

Naisagawa ang operasyon sa pakikipagtulungan ng Social Services Development Department (SSDD) at iba pang katuwang na ahensya.

Makakaasa ang publiko na nakahanda ang lokal na pamahalaan na magbigay ng sapat na proteksyon, kalinga, at rehabilitasyon sa mga batang biktima.

Pinaninindigan ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Quezon ang pangako na gagawing ligtas ang bawat bata sa ating komunidad.

Tulad ng ating isinusulong na adbokasiya bilang Child Labor-Free City, hindi natin palalagpasin ang anumang uri ng pang-aabuso at pagsasamantala sa kabataan.

Hinihimok natin ang bawat QCitizen na maging mapagmatyag sa mga iligal na gawain at agad itong ipagbigay-alam sa mga otoridad o itawag sa Helpline 122, kasabay ng pagtiyak na manatiling ligtas ang isang tahanan lalo na para sa mga bata.
