𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝟏𝟎 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — The 1st Marine R***e Battalion (1MRBn) conducted a Holy Mass at the BNS Covered Court, Sangley Point, Cavite City, on 10 September 2026 as part of the unit’s continuing effort to foster spiritual growth, unity, and camaraderie among its personnel.

The activity was attended by officers, enlisted personnel, and members of the unit who gathered in prayer and reflection, seeking guidance, strength, and blessings in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.

The conduct of the Holy Mass highlights the importance of spiritual nourishment and moral values in strengthening the commitment and dedication of every Marine in serving the organization and the community.

Through activities that promote spiritual well-being and fellowship, the 1st Marine R***e Battalion remains committed to developing disciplined, resilient, and values-oriented personnel ready to fulfill their mandate.

𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝟎𝟗 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — Personnel of the 1st Marine R***e Battalion (1MRBn) conducted a courtesy call to Atty. Peter M Manzano, City Administrator of Pasay City, as part of the Battalion’s efforts to strengthen coordination and partnership with local government units.

The engagement provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual interest, particularly security coordination, humanitarian assistance and disaster response, community engagement, and future collaborative activities between the 1MRBn and the Pasay City Government.

The courtesy call underscored the importance of strengthened civil-military cooperation and inter-agency coordination in promoting peace, security, and community resilience within the city.

𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 | 𝟎𝟖 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | personnel of the 1st Marine R***e Battalion (1MRBn) conducted a reservist engagement with the 71st Marine Reserve Battalion at Adamson University, Manila.

The engagement focused on strengthening coordination and cooperation between the regular and reserve components, particularly on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) efforts, future joint engagements, and the development of partnerships with other civilian government agencies and stakeholders.

The activity highlighted the importance of a strong and responsive reserve force in supporting the Marine Corps’ mission, especially during disasters and other contingencies requiring coordinated military and civilian efforts.

The engagement also served as an avenue to identify opportunities for future collaboration and capability-building activities that will further enhance the readiness and interoperability of both units.

𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 | 𝐎𝐧 𝟎𝟒 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | The 1st Marine R***e Battalion (1MRBn) conducted the Change of Command and Awarding Ceremony of the 21st Marine Company (21MC) at H1MRBn, NBHA, Sangley Point Cavite City.

The ceremony formally marked the relinquishment of duties by CPT JAMES ARNOLD N GAGTAN PN(M) and the assumption of duties by 1LT KENT LEMUEL O CULTURA PN(M) as the incoming Officer-in-Charge (OIC), 21MC. The formal Change of Command was presided over by LTCOL EDGAR S BERNARDO JR PN(M), Commanding Officer, 1MRBn.

As part of the ceremony, MAJ DEXTER S BERNESTO PN(M) and CPT KARL JENS HELMUTH PN(M) former battalion staff officers were presented with plaques in recognition of their dedicated service, leadership, and valuable contributions to the Battalion.

The activity underscores the 1st Marine R***e Battalion’s commitment to fostering professional leadership, discipline, accountability, and operational readiness. Through a seamless transition of responsibilities and recognition of exemplary service, the Battalion continues to uphold its commitment to mission accomplishment in support of the Philippine Marine Corps.

Taguig City | 05 September 2026 | Personnel of the 1st Marine R***e Battalion (1MRBn) and 3rd Marine R***e Battalion (3MRBn) engaged in a friendly basketball game at Jurado Hall, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The 1MRBn, donning black jerseys, faced the 3MRBn, wearing red jerseys, in a spirited match that promoted camaraderie, sportsmanship, teamwork, and esprit de corps among the participating personnel.

After an exciting and competitive game, 1MRBn emerged victorious over 3MRBn, demonstrating teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship on the court.

The activity concluded with a boodle fight at H3MRBn, further strengthening the camaraderie and fellowship between the two units.

CAVITE CITY | 02 SEPTEMBER 2026 — In support of the 72nd Founding Anniversary of the Cavite Naval Hospital (CNH), personnel of the 1st Marine R***e Battalion (1MRBn) participated in the Bloodletting Activity conducted in partnership with the Philippine Blood Center on 02 September 2026 at the Crewsberth Covered Court, Naval Station Pascual Ledesma, Cavite City.

The activity forms part of the anniversary celebration of CNH with the theme, “CNH C.A.R.E.S.: Steering towards a Modernized Naval Healthcare Across 72 Years and Beyond,” and aims to encourage voluntary blood donation as a meaningful act of service and solidarity with patients and communities in need.

A total of ten (10) personnel from 1MRBn were made available as blood donors, contributing to the activity’s target of 200 successful blood donors.

The bloodletting activity highlights the commitment of the Philippine Navy and its personnel to supporting healthcare initiatives and promoting a culture of volunteerism. Through the simple yet selfless act of donating blood, service members help ensure the availability of safe blood for individuals requiring emergency care, surgery, and other medical treatment.

Sangley Point, Cavite City — On 01 September 2026, MAJOR GENERAL EDWIN E AMADAR PN(M), Vice Commander, Philippine Navy, conducted a farewell visit to the Headquarters, 1st Marine R***e Battalion.

During the visit, MGEN AMADAR PN(M) engaged with the officers and Enlisted Personnel of the battalion through Talk to Troops, where he shared meaningful memories and experiences from his time as the former Commanding Officer of 1MRBn. His message highlighted the strong bond of camaraderie forged during his leadership and the enduring spirit of service shared by the battalion.

As a gesture of appreciation and recognition of his valuable service and leadership, Commanding Officer, 1MRBn, presented a memento to MGEN AMADAR PN(M) as a token of gratitude for his visit and his lasting contribution to the battalion.

The farewell visit served not only as a tribute to previous leadership but also as a reminder of the enduring bonds formed through shared service, dedication, and commitment to duty.

Despite the heavy rain in Metro Manila-NCR. The Philippine Marine Ready Force–NCR (PMRF-NCR), together with the 1st Marine R***e Battalion, continued to serve the public through a Libreng Sakay initiative, providing safe and accessible transportation to stranded commuters in Caloocan City, Valenzuela City, and Pasay City.

This initiative reflects the Marines’ unwavering commitment to the Filipino people - ready to respond, ready to serve, and always ready to lend a helping hand when it matters most.
