This Christmas Eve, letโ€™s listen to โ€œKANLURANโ€โ€”a song of recognition and resolve for our sea and community sentinels who continue to serve in the West Philippine Sea.

With every wave comes quiet sacrifice: watchfulness, protection, and steadfast dutyโ€”so our stand for the nationโ€™s rights and dignity remains firm. โ€œKANLURANโ€ reminds us that sovereignty is not only about boundaries; it is about unity, resilience, and love of country.

Watch and share the official AVP. Stand with the message: We remain steadfastโ€”standing firm in the West.

โ€ผ๏ธ Disinformation Alert โ€ผ๏ธ

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is issuing this advisory to address false information and misleading representation of images circulating on social media. These posts are designed to create division and discredit the integrity of your AFP. We present the following facts to set the record straight.

FALSE CLAIM: An image and narrative allege that an active-duty Marine was used for illicit activities, based on his supposed "testimony."

FACT: The individual mentioned, Mr. Orly Guteza, has been a civilian since his retirement on June 30, 2020. His private work for a legislator began four years later in 2024. The central claim is chronologically impossible and therefore fabricated.

FALSE CLAIM: A photo of AFP officials with the then House Speaker is presented as evidence of an improper allegiance.

FACT: The photo shows a routine and official courtesy call. Such professional meetings between military leadership and officials from other government branches are a standard, transparent procedure. The context of the photo has been maliciously twisted to create a false narrative.

These are clear attempts to sow doubt and erode trust in your Armed Forces. The AFP is a professional and disciplined organization serving the Filipino people with honor and integrity.

We call on everyone not to be swayed by disinformation but to remain discerning and uphold the truth.

โš ๏ธ PUBLIC WARNING โš ๏ธ

The public is warned in the strongest terms against a vile and malicious fabrication now circulating online, which alleges a supposed coup plot involving the CIA, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and the Secretary of National Defense.

This is an outright LIE. The AFP categorically states that this is dangerous disinformationโ€”a deliberate attempt to poison the minds of our people, weaken the chain of command, and sow division between the Commander-in-Chief and the Armed Forces.

Let there be no doubt: the AFP remains loyal to the Constitution and will follow the chain of command. It is fully committed to defending the Republicโ€”not betraying it.

We call on every Filipino to stand guard against lies:

โŒ Do not believe.
โŒ Do not share.
โœ… Expose and condemn these cowardly attempts to destabilize our nation.

Those who manufacture and spread such baseless stories are not patriotsโ€”they are traitors working to undermine peace, stability, and the integrity of our democratic institutions.

Truth is our defense. Unity is our strength. Disinformation has no place in our Republic. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ
