SERVICE READINESS INSPECTION OF TOURIST ASSISTANCE DESK (TAD) PERSONNEL
Tourist Police Unit (TPU) Chief, PMAJ IVY M BARTOLOME, conducted a comprehensive inspection of various Tourist Assistance Desks (TADs) across Cebu Province.
The activity focused on evaluating the readiness, visibility, and overall effectiveness of these desks in assisting both local and international visitors. It also aimed to ensure that personnel are well-equipped, responsive, and compliant with standard protocols for tourist safety and support.
This initiative was carried out in relation to ASEAN 2026. The inspection ensures that all Tourist Police personnel are fully prepared to manage the anticipated increase in tourist arrivals while maintaining peace and order in key areas.
During the activity, personnel were reminded to remain vigilant, courteous, and ready to provide immediate assistance to both local and foreign tourists. The initiative highlights their continued commitment to professionalism and excellence in public service, guided by the ABCD principles of the Provincial Director: Abide by the Law, Build Trust, Commitment to Integrity, and Deliver Quality Police Service.

The Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) informs the public of the lockdown schedule on 06 May 2026 as part of heightened security measures for the 48th ASEAN Leaders’ Summit 2026:
1st Lockdown: 6:45 PM – 7:30 PM
Route: Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) to Shangri-La Hotel
2nd Lockdown: 8:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Route: Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) to Shangri-La Hotel
During these periods, temporary road closures and movement restrictions will be enforced along the identified routes to ensure the safe and secure passage of official delegations.
Motorists and the general public are advised to plan their travel accordingly and expect possible traffic delays in affected areas. We respectfully ask for your cooperation and patience as these necessary security measures are implemented.
Rest assured that these efforts are in place to ensure the safety of all and the successful conduct of the summit.

RESORT VISITATION and BEACH PATROLLING

DISTRIBUTION OF IEC MATERIALS
Under the leadership of PMAJ IVY MARTIN BARTOLOME, Tourist Police Personnel assigned at Tuburan 360 TAD located at Brgy. Kabangkalan, Tuburan, Cebu and Mainit Spring TAD located at Brgy. Montañeza, Malabuyoc, Cebu, conducted the distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials.
The activity focused on promoting public awareness on Crime Prevention, Online Scam Awareness, Bomb Threat, Anti-Terrorism Awareness, and Safe Travel Tips. These IEC materials, which included hotline numbers of various police stations within the Cebu Police Provincial Office, were distributed to both foreign and local tourists to enhance safety, security, and preparedness during their travel.
