The Legend of Brgy. Buot

Buot derived its name from the word Boot, a root crop growing abundantly in the barangay with an elongated thorns in its vines. According to legends, the roots of the Buot(Boot) go deeper in to the soil, when farmers make noise when harvesting it. Home to more than 2000 residents. Brgy. Buot is composed of 16 sitios; Buot Proper, Caduldulan, Laguna, Lawis, Lawod, Mak-ak, Pangpang, Pangi, Pusod, Samborio, Tabok-Sapa, Taup, Tay-ong, Tulay, Upper-Buot & Upper Laguna.

Farming is mainly the livelihood to most of the residents including: Arable: Crops & Pastoral: Animals
