FOUR DRUG PERSONALITIES NABBED IN SEPARATE ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUG OPERATIONS IN CEBU CITY
In line with the intensified campaign against illegal drugs, personnel of Police Stations 3, 6, and 8 of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) successfully arrested four drug personalities in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted from the evening of June 2, 2026, until the early hours of June 3, 2026, in different barangays of Cebu City.
The first operation was conducted on the evening of June 2, 2026, in Barangay Talamban, Cebu City, by personnel of Police Station 8 led by PCPT WILMER MACASLING CASTILLO. The operation resulted in the arrest of a suspect who was caught in possession of one (1) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The confiscated substance had an estimated weight of 0.06 gram with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of Php 290.00.
Later that same evening, another suspect was apprehended by Police Station 8 after being caught in possession of one (1) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu. The seized illegal drug weighed approximately 0.10 gram and had an SDP value of Php 680.00.
Meanwhile, in the early hours of June 3, 2026, elements of Police Station 3 led by PCPT MICHAEL T SEVILLA conducted an intensified police operation against all forms of illegal activities in Barangay Tejero, Cebu City. The operation resulted in the arrest of a suspect who was caught in possession two (2) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu.
On the same date, personnel of Police Station 6 led by PCPT NOAH LABRA AÑANA, conducted a police operation in Barangay Sawang Calero, Cebu City, which resulted in the arrest of another drug personality. The suspect was apprehended after being caught in possession of one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The seized substance had an estimated gross weight of 0.09 gram with an SDP value of Php 612.00.
All arrested individuals are presently under police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
These successful operations underscore the Cebu City Police Office’s continuing commitment to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs and maintain peace and order within the city.

E-BIKE DRIVER NABBED FOR UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF FIREARM IN MAMBALING
Personnel of Police Station 11, Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), received a report from a concerned citizen regarding an armed person alarm in Barangay Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City. Acting on the information received, personnel of this office, led by PCPT ARNEL ANCHETA, immediately responded to the reported incident on the evening of June 01, 2026.
Upon arrival at the area, the responding personnel observed a person matching the description provided by the concerned citizen, who was on board an electric bicycle (e-bike). Upon sensing the presence of the police, the suspect attempted to evade arrest and fled from the area. Consequently, the responding personnel conducted a hot pursuit operation that led them to successfully arrest the suspect.
The suspect was subsequently intercepted and informed of the report against him. During the lawful police intervention, the suspect was incidentally caught in possession of one (1) unit caliber .38 revolver and one (1) live ammunition loaded in the firearm. The suspect failed to present any pertinent documents authorizing him to possess and carry the firearm and ammunition. Thereafter, the suspect was arrested for violation of Republic Act No. 10591, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Following the arrest, he was brought to Police Station 11, CCPO, for proper disposition and documentation while the necessary charges are being prepared for filing before the appropriate court.
This accomplishment reflects the commitment of the Cebu City Police Office in addressing reports involving loose fi****ms, preventing potential criminal activities, and ensuring the safety and security of the community through proactive law enforcement operations.

4 DRUG PERSONALITIES ARRESTED BY LABANGON POLICE IN BUY-BUST OPERATION
Personnel of Police Station 10, Cebu City Police Office, under the leadership of PCPT JOEL DELA CERNA, Officer-in-Charge, conducted a series of anti-illegal drug operations in Barangays Quiot and Labangon, Cebu City on the evening of June 01, 2026. These operations resulted in the arrest of four (4) suspects for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
One (1) suspect was arrested for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of R.A. 9165 (Selling and Possession of Dangerous Drugs) during a buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay Quiot. Confiscated from the suspect were sachets containing suspected shabu with a total estimated weight of 5.1 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of Php 33,680.00, along with buy-bust money and other drug-related paraphernalia.
Three (3) other suspects were separately arrested for violation of Section 11, Article II of R.A. 9165 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) during intensified police operations conducted in Sitio Cogon, Barangay Labangon, Barangay Quiot, Cebu City. Recovered from their possession were several sachets containing suspected shabu with a combined estimated weight of 0.23 gram and an SDP value of Php 1,564.00.
All arrested suspects were brought to Police Station 10 and are presently under the custody of Police Station 10 pending the filing of appropriate charges before the court.
These operational gains demonstrate CCPO's commitment to proactive law enforcement and its continuing efforts to maintain peace and order, deter illegal drug activities, and uphold public safety within the City of Cebu.

The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) formally launched its Proficiency Firing Program through an Opening Ceremony held on June 2, 2026, at the CCPO Firing Range, Camp Sotero Cabahug, Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City. The activity marked the commencement of a comprehensive fi****ms proficiency initiative aimed at enhancing the marksmanship, firearm handling skills, and operational readiness of CCPO personnel.
The ceremony was attended by CCPO officers and personnel, along with distinguished guests from the Cebu City Peace and Order Council, including Hon. Councilor Paul Labra and Mr. Arnel Tancinco, Chief of Staff of the Cebu City Peace and Order Council. Their presence underscored the importance of maintaining a well-trained and highly competent police force capable of effectively addressing public safety and security concerns.
During the program, participants were reminded that fi****ms proficiency is a fundamental aspect of police service, directly contributing to the safe, lawful, and efficient performance of law enforcement duties.
