To GOD be the GLORY! Good morning everyone.
We maybe defeated in numbers, but the will to serve, the integrity, dedication and the commitment to stand strong for the people remains intact.
For the 56, 410 voters casted in my favor my sincere thanks and grateful appreciation to all of you. Notwithstanding that we are 38 candidates competing for only 8 post. Although we fall short, but the numbers shows that we 'truly connect and love each other heartily'.
Coming in as an independent candidate was never been easy. It was an long rugged, arduous and uphill journey. And I AM or should I say WE ARE PROUD OF IT!
First and foremost I would express my hearfelt gratitude to the HOLY GOD ALMIGHTY for the chance of reaching this far enough, for whatever the purpose is, Thy will be done LORD GOD!
Secondly, I want to express my thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported me throughout this journey. Whether you volunteered your time, offered words of encouragement, cast your vote, or simply believed in the vision I presented — thank you. Your support has meant more to me than I can ever fully express.
While the outcome of this election is not what we had hoped for, I stand before you not in defeat, but with pride and deep appreciation. We ran an honest, passionate campaign based on the values we hold dear: integrity, service, and progress. And although we did not win, we made our voices heard — and that matters.
To all the winners of the new Cebu City sets of goverment officials, I extend my congratulations. I hope they will serve with honor, listen to all constituents, and work toward the good of our community.
This is not the end. Our journey toward positive change continues. Hope is never lost, it is simply reshaped and redirected. We may not hold office, but we still hold the courage to serve in any ways and means available. And we will continue to work, speak out, and uplift our community in every way we can.
Thank you again for walking this path with me. Let us move forward together — stronger, wiser, and still full of hope.
Thank you so much to all of you.
MA. YVONNE CANIA-BARANDOG
