The House of Representatives has given its approval on the third and final reading of a bill that designates General Santos City as the "Tuna Capital of the Philippines."
This recognition is a result of the city's significant contribution as the leading producer of fresh and canned tuna in the country.
The bill aims to acknowledge and highlight General Santos City's prominent role in the tuna industry.
