34TH NATIONAL CHILDREN’S MONTH 2026 🇵🇭

MANINDIGAN! TUMUGON AT KUMALINGA: SA BATANG HANDA, MAS LIGTAS ANG BANSA. 📣

Ngayong 34th National Children’s Month (NCM), binibigyang-diin natin ang Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE)—ang pangangalaga sa karapatan, kaligtasan, at kapakanan ng mga bata bago, habang, at pagkatapos ng mga sakuna at iba pang emergency.

Ang tema ngayong taon ay mula mismo sa tinig ng mga bata. 💙

Sa pamamagitan ng MakabaTanong online survey at National Children’s Month–Children’s Brainstorming Session (NCM-CBS), ibinahagi ng mga bata ang kanilang mga karanasan, saloobin, at mga usaping higit na nakaaapekto sa kanilang buhay. Kabilang sa kanilang mga binigyang-diin ang lumalaking panganib na dulot ng mga bagyo, baha, lindol, armadong tunggalian, at iba pang krisis.

Ipinapaalala sa atin ng mga bata: kailangan nilang maging handa, ligtas, protektado, at may boses sa panahon ng emergency.

Ngayong 34th NCM, sama-sama nating isulong ang isang Pilipinas kung saan ang bawat bata ay handa sa panganib, napapakinggan, at higit sa lahat, napoprotektahan.

Manindigan. Tumugon. Kumalinga. 🤝

Dahil sa batang handa, mas ligtas ang bansa! 🇵🇭💙

It's giving successful rollout energy ~~~

Plan International × BCA S*x Ed in just ONE day—and we actually made it happen. But let's be real: that one day didn't start that morning. It started two sleepless nights before—late nights fueled by coffee, spreadsheets, last-minute coordination, and a whole lot of prayers.

We stayed up, we pushed through, we showed up even when our bodies were begging for rest. And when the big day finally came? Every minute was packed with purpose, passion, and teamwork.

Pagod? Oo. Kulang sa tulog? Sobra. Pero ang saya? Walang katulad. 🥹 Seeing the participants lean in, ask brave questions, and leave with those knowing smiles—that made every sleepless hour worth it. We didn't just tick a box. We sparked conversations that matter. We planted seeds that will grow.

Forever grateful to our barangay partners who believed in this advocacy from day one: Kapitan David, Kagawad Alfeo Sollegue, VAWC Ma'am Charie, SPM Ando, Mrs. Fauline, Mrs. Samson and Miss Key—your support gave us the push we needed. To Barangay Langkaan 2, thank you for trusting us and opening your doors to this important conversation.

And to our BCA officers—thank you for showing up, for your time, your energy, and your commitment, despite your own busy schedules. This victory is yours as much as it is ours.

📚 ALAMIN: Pananagutan ng mga Magulang sa Ginawang Paglabag ng Kanilang Anak.

Sa ilalim ng batas sa Pilipinas, walang pananagutang kriminal ang mga magulang sa krimeng nagawa ng kanilang anak, maliban kung sila mismo ay nakipagsabwatan, nag-utos, o nakilahok sa paggawa nito.

Gayunpaman, maaari silang magkaroon ng pananagutang sibil (civil liability) sa mga pinsala, danyos, o pagkawala ng ari-arian na dulot ng kanilang menor de edad at hindi pa emansipadong anak.

⚖️ Mga Batayang Batas:

📌 Article 2180 ng Civil Code – Ang mga magulang ay maaaring managot sa mga pinsalang dulot ng kanilang menor de edad na anak na kasama nilang naninirahan.

📌 Article 221 ng Family Code – Ang mga may parental authority ay may pananagutang sibil sa mga pinsala at danyos na idinulot ng kanilang mga anak na hindi pa emansipado.

📌 Section 6 ng Republic Act No. 9344 (Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006) – Kahit exempted sa pananagutang kriminal ang bata dahil sa kanyang edad, hindi nawawala ang pananagutang sibil sa mga pinsalang kanyang naidulot.

✅ Paalala sa mga Magulang: Ang wastong paggabay, sapat na superbisyon, at responsableng pagpapalaki sa ating mga anak ay mahalagang bahagi ng paghubog ng isang disiplinado at responsableng mamamayan.

𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧, 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩? This was 2 days ago—but the 𝙨𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙝 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨.

𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧, we pushed through with the school supplies distribution for our elementary students. We continued our service because 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣 or 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚. And seeing these faces? That's the 𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙤𝙛𝙛.

A 𝙝𝙪𝙜𝙚, 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 to the 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨 for their incredible support and time, and to 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙚𝙙 make this successful. 𝙉𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪. 🎒✨

A 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙪𝙩 for us, the 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙖𝙣 2 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨!

We have just 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙙 Batch 2 of our advocacy sessions on preventing 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 (OSAEC). Once again, we 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 and 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 — because this conversation is too 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 to stay silent on.

Every session, every question answered, and every young person who now understands the 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙠 and 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙨 of OSAEC is 𝙖 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 but 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮. This second rollout proved that our commitment is 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧, and more young people in our community are now 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙩, and 𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 to 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨.
