ERICE: MARCOS CAMP, POSIBLENG MAKULONG O MAG-EXILE KAPAG NANALO SI SARA

Ibinahagi ni Edgar Erice ang kanyang pananaw kaugnay ng umiinit na tensyon sa pagitan ng kampo ng Marcos at Duterte sa gitna ng usapin ng impeachment laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni Erice na hindi umano kayang tanggapin ng mga Marcos ang posibilidad ng Duterte presidency sa 2028 dahil sa mga isyu ng korapsyon na ibinabato laban sa kanila.

Ayon sa kanya, kung sakaling manalo si Duterte bilang pangulo sa 2028, dalawa lamang umano ang maaaring kahantungan para sa mga Marcos.

“If Vice President Sara Duterte will win the 2028 elections, I think there are only two options for the Marcoses: one is to go to jail or two, to go on exile,” ani Erice.

Dagdag pa niya, gagawin umano ng kampo ng Marcos ang lahat upang mapigilan ang naturang posibilidad.

18 WHISTLEBLOWERS, TARGET NG NBI INVESTIGATION!

Kinumpirma ni National Bureau of Investigation Director Atty. Melvin Matibag na inatasan sila ng Office of the Ombudsman na imbestigahan ang grupo ng 18 dating sundalo na nagpakilala bilang whistleblowers.

Noong nakaraan, nagsumite ang mga ito ng joint-affidavit sa Ombudsman na naglalaman ng mga alegasyon ng korapsyon laban sa ilang opisyal ng pamahalaan.

AN APPEAL FOR THE SAFETY AND CONVENIENCE OF ALL FILIPINOS

Due to the recent rise in fuel prices and the serious concerns about air and noise pollution, I am appealing to people to reconsider organizing motorcades and vehicle caravans/parades as a form of protest. These events not only lead to higher fuel costs but also worsen air pollution and increase traffic congestion, causing significant inconvenience to everyone.

While I fully understand the desire to gather and express anger against the administration or show support to Former President Rodrigo Duterte, it is, however, more important to be mindful of how these activities impact others and the environment. I encourage exploring alternative ways to come together that are less disruptive and more sustainable, since we have a long way to go in making the world listen to the failures of government administration in the Philippines. At the same time, we must confront the crisis of loss of jobs of OFWs coming home, as well as the sharp increase in the cost of food and other essential commodities.

I call on all Local Government Units (LGUs) to permanently ban motorcades and vehicle caravans/parade whether for celebrations, festivals, or political intent.

Let us all do our part to keep our roads and our country safer, cleaner, and more efficient for everyone.
