A total of ๐ด๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ benefited from the Health and Wellness Recovery Support Activity conducted by the Philippine Coconut Authority Region XI (PCA XI) on October 10โ11, 2026, in Barangay Mabila, Sarangani, Davao Occidental, as part of its continuing efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to coconut farming communities affected by the earthquake.
Each beneficiary received a 25-kilogram sack of rice and a grocery pack containing essential food items to help address their household food needs. Meals and snacks were also provided to participants throughout the activity, extending immediate support to coconut farmers and their families during a challenging time.
Reaching the island communities required considerable logistical preparation and coordination. The transportation of relief goods across the sea, coupled with the distance between the mainland and the island barangays, presented significant challenges in delivering assistance to the intended beneficiaries. Despite these obstacles, PCA XI remained committed to reaching coconut farmers and ensuring that geographically isolated communities were included in the relief efforts.
Through this initiative, PCA XI reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the welfare of coconut farmers and their families through responsive, inclusive, and compassionate public service. More than providing relief, the activity highlighted the importance of collaboration and perseverance in ensuring that assistance reaches even the most geographically isolated communities.
