HISTORY COMES ALIVE AT SIXTO BABAO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!

Punong Barangay Mading Babao proudly represented the Babao clan at the school’s 1st Alumni Homecoming, where he delivered a heartfelt speech honoring the institution’s roots.

The school stands on land generously donated by Justina Larracuechea Babao — a legacy of care that has shaped generations of learners. During his address, Kap Babao traced the rich history of the Babao family and how their vision gave birth to this beloved community school.
He also mentioned that Sixto Babao Elementary School ( originally Sixto Babao Primary School) was officially established on June 16 1962 through Republic Act No. 3501.

Here’s to celebrating our past and building a brighter future for Sixto Babao Elementary! 💙

📋 BARANGAY UPDATE

Parole and Probation Office officer Ms. Aralane Tuazon and Bryant Rebueco paid a visit to Punong Barangay Mading Babao at the Barangay Ilang Hall earlier today.

The team is seeking to visit the residence of a probationer who has not reported to their office since being granted probation.
Also at the meeting are Kag. Godofredo Babao and Kag. Rico Tampos
Accompanying them to the area will be Omar Salahi.

RAMADAN VISIT TO BARANGAY ILANG'S MUSLIM COMMUNITY

Congressman Omar Duterte visited the Muslim community of Vista Mar 1 & 2 in Barangay Ilang to share in the spirit of Ramadan!

During the visit, the Congressman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Muslim community for their continuous support to the Duterte family.

Present at the gathering were Punong Barangay Mading Babao, SK Chair Gilia Sab, Kagawad Anding Babao, Jun Amamampang, along with Imam community leaders, purok leaders, and ustadz. Kagawads Tampos and kag. Godofredo Babao Jr. joined the occasion a bit later.

To celebrate the holy month, Congressman Omar gifted the community 1 head of cow, which will be butchered for the Ramadan culmination this coming Friday!

BARANGAY FUEL EFFICIENCY & COST-CUTTING MEASURES

From the office of Punong Barangay Amado Babao, rolling out new guidelines to boost fuel efficiency and cut unnecessary costs for our barangay vehicles—especially important given the significant rise in gasoline prices these days!

As of March heavy burden on our barangay funds, which is why we’re taking action to ensure every peso goes to projects and services that matter to you!

Key Measures Implemented:

1.Coordinated Trip Planning
For our barangay liaison staff, regular staff, and treasurer: All official trips will now be scheduled and consolidated in advance. We’ll combine multiple errands into single trips, map out the most efficient routes, and avoid duplicate travels. This will significantly reduce fuel consumption while keeping our services running smoothly.

2. Driver Guidelines
Our barangay drivers are instructed to practice fuel-saving habits: proper vehicle maintenance checks, smooth driving (avoiding sudden acceleration/braking), and limiting idle time. Only essential trips will be approved to prevent unnecessary fuel use.

These measures are outlined in a memorandum issued by Punong Barangay Amado Babao, effective immediately. We appreciate the cooperation of the staff and drivers in making this initiative a success—every drop saved helps us fund more community projects!
