A LONGER TIME TO SERVE.
I witnessed my first postponement of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections when I was an SK Chairperson in 2022, following the postponement under Republic Act No. 11462. Today, as a Barangay Kagawad, I am once again witnessing another postponement, first through Republic Act No. 12232, and now through Republic Act No. 12326, which moves the next BSKE to November 2028.
Two different chapters of my public service journey, yet both have taught me the same important lesson: when given more time to serve, we are also given a greater responsibility to do more.
As a Barangay Official, I will take this opportunity to strengthen our programs, turn plans into meaningful action, and continue serving with unity, accountability, dedication, and genuine commitment.
Let this additional time not simply be an extension of our term, but an extension of our service, our efforts, and our commitment to the people. May we use every extra day to listen to our constituents, respond to their needs, complete the programs we have started, and create meaningful changes in our community.
Leadership is not measured by the length of one's position, but by the lives we touch, the communities we strengthen, and the service we give with sincerity and compassion.
To my fellow Barangay Officials, let us continue working together not for ourselves, but for the people who entrusted us with the responsibility to serve.
And most especially, THANK YOU SO MUCH, BRGY. CAPALIZ!❤️💙
