413 Lanton Elementary Students Graduate from DARE Program with Powerful Anti-Drug Message
Community Leaders Unite to Celebrate Youth Empowerment and Drug Awareness
Lanton Elementary School hosted a momentous graduation ceremony on February 19, celebrating 413 learners who successfully completed the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) Program for the 2025-2026 school year. The event brought together law enforcement officials, local government representatives, and school administrators in a unified effort to reinforce the importance of drug resistance among young learners.
PBGEN ARNOLD P ARDIENTE, Regional Director of the Regional Public Information Office - PRO 12, served as the event's resource speaker and delivered a sobering reminder to the graduates. His words struck at the heart of drug awareness education: "Walang nananalo sa droga, pwedeng yumaman pero walang katahimikan ang buhay" (There are no winners in drugs; one may become rich, but life will have no peace).
Barangay Captain Hon. Paolo Jude Natividad attended the ceremony to connect with the young graduates, sharing information about the Local Government of Apopong's current programs tailored for children in their age group. His presence demonstrated the barangay's commitment to supporting youth welfare and community development initiatives.
PSDS Lilibeth Lamberte expressed heartfelt gratitude to the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) for providing this transformative educational opportunity to the learners, highlighting the vital partnership between schools and law enforcement in shaping responsible citizens.
School Principal Ricky B. Nino acknowledged the exceptional efforts of the GSCPO and specifically commended the two DARE teachersโPatrolwoman Ruby Quirante and Patrolwoman Michaella Fuegoโfor their dedication to the program. The principal also recognized the leadership of Force Commander Clent Ven D Inciso of General Santos City Mobile Force Company-FB Page (CMFC), whose support was instrumental in the program's success.
The graduation ceremony concluded in a feeding program sponsored by CMFC.
