EARTH DAY 2026: DONE✅🌍

“Our Power, Our Planet”

In celebration of Earth Day today, the SSLG Officers dedicated their morning to environmental service. We focused on keeping our campus beautiful by sweeping the grounds and picking up litter to ensure a clean and healthy environment for everyone.

While some of us were busy brushing the campus clean, other officers joined the initiative from their own homes by planting and nourishing their plants. This shows that our commitment to Mother Earth doesn't stop at the school gates—it starts in our own backyards. 🪴🌿

Taking care of our campus and our planet is a responsibility we carry with pride, even during the vacation. Every small act, from picking up a single piece of trash to planting a tree, makes a difference for our future!

Leading with a clear vision for change, our 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴' 𝘎𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 Jacklyn Aspacio and 𝘝𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 Princess Gasco, together with their adviser, Sir Jasper Alburo, represented our student body at the 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵-𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 on April 10, 2026, and the 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆-𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 on April 11, 2026, held at Green Leaf Hotel.

In partnership with the 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝘆-𝗘𝗱 (𝗫-𝗘𝗱) national initiative, this two-day gathering—joined by other schools and student participants—served as a powerful platform for our leaders to engage directly with government officials and civil society organizations. The discussions centered on the 𝗧𝗣𝗔 framework—𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆—as the primary drivers for improving our school system. By taking an active role in these dialogues, our representatives advocated for student-led monitoring and evidence-based solutions to bridge persistent gaps in education governance.

The briefing emphasized that youth are not just beneficiaries of education, but vital partners in ensuring that government commitments translate into real, felt results for every student in the community. Through this collaboration, the BNHS SSLG continues to strengthen its commitment to building a more inclusive, responsive, and accountable learning environment for all. 🎓✨
