Last night with deepest sympathy, I paid a visit and joined in prayer for the eternal repose of Alejandro B. Danieles, who was born on March 1, 1965 and passed away on April 12, 2026.
In this time of grief, we stand with the bereaved family, offering our prayers and comfort, trusting in God’s promise in Romans 14:8 — that whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
May the life he lived and the love he shared continue to inspire those he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Attended the committee hearing on the proposed ordinance granting a 5-day annual, non-cumulative and non-commutable wellness leave for workers in private establishments in General Santos City.
This important measure, authored and sponsored by Franklin M. Gacal Jr., aims to support the well-being of our workforce. Present during the hearing was fellow councilor Ramon R. Melliza.
The discussion was moved for recess to allow further research, data gathering, and review of relevant laws to ensure that the ordinance is both responsive and well-grounded.
We remain committed to carefully studying policies that promote the welfare of our workers.

Grateful to have been part of the 2026 Lord Jesus Our Rock Global Ministries Inc. National Convention and Ordination of New Pastors and Ministers, serving as an honored guest and witness to this meaningful and sacred occasion. Of course, my special thanks to Bishop Bonifacio S. Portugal Jr., the President for the invitation.
Being part of this event is a humbling reminder that every opportunity to serve—whether in public office or in ministry—is ultimately for God’s glory. Being present in a gathering of faith leaders, united under the theme “Mission Together: Redeeming the Time, Advancing the Kingdom,” is both inspiring and uplifting.
