A joyful and inspiring milestone unfolded during the Joint Moving-Up Ceremony of the Child Development Centers from Tidman 1, Tidman 2, Tidman 3, Mawis, Bigaan, Bingcongan, Loyola, Viola, Mongcag, Tarusan, Tagasaka, Kapilayan, Quarry, Maligaya, and Roxas, held on March 27, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium. Guided by the theme “Munting Hakbang Tungo sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan,” the event celebrated the success of 202 young learners who completed the Pre-Kindergarten 1 and 2 of the ECCD Program, surrounded by their proud parents and guardians.

The ceremony was highlighted by the heartfelt message of Guest Speaker, Mrs. Gladelyn O. Cacho-Lampad, LPT—once a learner of Mongcag CDC—whose journey from a simple child with big dreams to a professional teacher served as a powerful reminder that perseverance can turn aspirations into reality. She shared how she held on to her dreams despite doubts and discouragement, proving that no child’s potential should ever be underestimated.

Present during the occasion was Municipal Mayor Atty. Tito A. Cañedo III, who warmly expressed his unwavering support for early childhood development initiatives, underscoring the importance of investing in young children as the foundation of a stronger and more progressive community. He was joined by the dedicated Punong Barangays and Committee Chairs on Social Services and Education, whose presence reflected a shared commitment to nurturing and empowering the community’s youngest learners. Meanwhile, MSWD Officer Mrs. Sunrise B. Tumanda reaffirmed that the MSWDO and LGU Hinatuan continue to stand as steadfast partners of Child Development Workers, providing continuous guidance, technical assistance, and genuine support—reminding everyone that it truly takes a united and caring community to help every child grow, dream, and succeed.

This meaningful celebration was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the MSWDO staff, led by ECCD Focal Ms. Noemi C. Sangkaan, RSW, SFP Focal Ms. Kimberly Jean M. Verdeflor, and the dedicated Child Development Workers, whose passion continues to shape young minds and futures.

Truly, this event is more than a recognition of achievements—it is a celebration of dreams in the making. Sa matag gamay nga lakang, adunay dakong kaugmaon nga ginahimo. Padayon sa pagdamgo, mga bata—kay kamo ang paglaum ug kahayag sa atong umaabot.

A joyous and memorable celebration unfolded during the Joint Moving-Up Ceremony of Baculin, Harip, Campa, Portlamon, Plateua, Cambatong 1 and 2, Talisay, Dugmanon 1 and 2, Macopa, San Juan, Tiwi, Pocto, Bitoon, Kape, Sasa and Cantabon Child Development Centers on March 26, 2026, held at the Municipal Gymnasium, anchored on the theme “Munting Hakbang Tungo sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan.”

A total of 267 young learners proudly reached an important milestone as they completed the Pre-Kindergarten 1 and 2 under the ECCD Program. Joined by their supportive parents and guardians, the event was filled with smiles, cheers, and heartfelt pride—marking not just an ending, but the beginning of a new chapter in their educational journey.

The ceremony was inspired by Guest Speaker Ms. Shianen E. Cuajao, LPT, a former learner of Dugmanon CDC, who shared her story as proof that humble beginnings can lead to meaningful success. In her message, she emphasized, “Ang gamay nga lakang makahatag ug dako nga oportunidad aron makab-ot ang mga pangandoy,” reminding everyone that every small step today shapes a brighter tomorrow.

Municipal Mayor Atty. Tito A. Cañedo III graced the occasion and conveyed his continued support for early childhood development programs. The presence of Punong Barangays and Committee Chairs on Social Services and Education further reflected a strong and united commitment to uplift the ECCD initiatives in the community. Meanwhile, MSWD Officer Mrs. Sunrise B. Tumanda highlighted the vital role of the MSWDO and LGU Hinatuan in empowering Child Development Workers through sustained guidance and assistance.

The success of the activity was made possible through the collective efforts of the MSWDO team, ECCD Focal Ms. Noemi C. Sangkaan, RSW, SFP Focal Ms. Kimberly Jean M. Verdeflor, and the dedicated Child Development Workers. and CDSPG. Their passion and teamwork continue to shape young minds and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

A meaningful milestone was celebrated during the Joint Moving-Up Ceremony of Aquino, Tabok, Sto. Niño I & II, Maharlika, Lacasa I & II, and Irizari Child Development Centers held on March 25, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium, with the inspiring theme “Munting Hakbang Tungo sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan.”

A total of 196 young completers proudly marked their achievement in finishing the Pre-Kindergarten 1 and 2 of ECCD Program, surrounded by their proud parents and guardians—each one sharing in the joy, pride, and hope of this special moment.

The event was graced by Guest Speaker Engr. Romel A. Tinampay, a proud product of Aquino CDC, whose journey reminded everyone that success begins with humble beginnings. In his heartfelt message, he shared, “Pareho sa liso sa tanom nga gagmay pa sa sugod hangtud mudako kung atimanon pag-ayo,” a powerful reflection that children, like seeds, will grow and flourish when nurtured with love, patience, and guidance.

Representing Municipal Mayor Atty. Tito A. Cañedo III, Executive Assistant II Mr. Ferdinand M. Barrios recognized the tireless efforts of the CDWs and MSWDO in strengthening the ECCD program. He inspired parents to dream big for their children, sharing his own story of rising from a humble background—a reminder that with determination, support, and faith, brighter opportunities await.

Also in attendance were the Punong Barangays and Committee Chairs on Social Services and Education, whose presence showed their strong commitment and unified support in advancing early childhood care and development in the community.

This memorable celebration was made possible through the dedication and teamwork of MSWDO Staff, ECCD Focal Ms. Noemi C. Sangkaan, RSW, SFP Focal Ms. Kimberly Jean M. Verdeflor, and the hardworking Child Development Workers of Poblacion CDCs led by Federation President Ms. Lennet B. Telewik. *Monthly Meeting of the Municipal Federation of Child Development Workers (MFCDW)

The Monthly Meeting of the Municipal Federation of Child Development Workers (MFCDW) was successfully conducted on March 6, 2026, at the Talisay Child Development Center (CDC). The meeting aimed to discuss key matters concerning the implementation of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) services in the municipality.

One of the primary agenda items was the finalization of the schedule for the ECCD Moving Up Ceremonies. The meeting also included coaching and mentoring for Batch 2 in preparation for the Recognition/Accreditation of Child Development Workers (CDWs) and Child Development Centers (CDCs) to ensure compliance with the standards set by the ECCD Council.

The participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the Barangay Council of Talisay, led by Punong Barangay Hon. Lino Martinez, for warmly hosting the meeting and for their generous hospitality. The host barangay also shared their best practices in managing their Child Development Center, which recently achieved Level III during the External Assessment, serving as an inspiration and learning opportunity for other CDWs in the municipality.

The meeting was presided over by the MFCDW President, Ms. Lennet B. Telewik. Also present during the activity was MSWDO Officer Mrs. Sunrise B. Tumanda, RSW, who expressed her congratulations to the Batch 1 CDWs for their commendable efforts and encouraged Batch 2 CDWs to continue striving for the same level of dedication and commitment. Also in attendance were ECCD Focal Person Ms. Noemi C. Sangkaan and Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) Focal Person Ms. Kimberly Jean M. Verdeflor, who provided guidance and technical support to the federation and the Child Development Workers.

The meeting concluded with strengthened collaboration among CDWs and a reaffirmed commitment to continuously improve the delivery of ECCD services for children and families in the municipality.

CONDUCT OF AWARENESS AND ORIENTATION ON PARENTS’ POSITIVE DISCIPLINE

An Awareness and Orientation on Parents’ Positive Discipline was formally conducted on February 26–27, 2026 at Sitio San Miguel and Sitio Almaria. The activity was undertaken in coordination with the Assistance and Cooperation for Community Resilience and Development, Inc. (ACCORD) through its ACCESS Project.

The primary objective of the activity was to enhance the knowledge and capacity of parents and caregivers on the principles and application of positive discipline. The sessions emphasized non-violent, respectful, and developmentally appropriate approaches to child-rearing, highlighting strategies that promote effective communication, emotional regulation, mutual respect, and the overall well-being of children within the family setting.

The orientation was facilitated by Ms. Kimberly Jean M. Verdeflor, DCW I, who delivered structured discussions, facilitated participatory activities, and provided opportunities for dialogue to address concerns and clarify issues raised by the participants. The activity ensured active engagement and encouraged parents to reflect on their current parenting practices and explore constructive alternatives aligned with child protection standards.

The successful conduct of this orientation reflects the continuing collaborative efforts between local stakeholders and partner organizations to strengthen family support systems, promote child protection, and foster resilient communities.

CDW: Susi sa Matatag na Simula at Maliwanag na Kinabukasan” 🌱✨

Sa likod ng bawat batang masayahing pumapasok sa silid-aralan, may isang Child Development Worker (CDW) na tahimik ngunit makapangyarihang gumagabay sa kanilang unang hakbang sa mundo ng pagkatuto.

Ang CDW ay hindi lamang tagapagturo ng ABC at 123. Siya ang unang nagtatanim ng kumpiyansa sa puso ng bata. Siya ang unang pumapawi ng takot kapag umiiyak sa unang araw ng pasok. Siya ang unang pumapalakpak sa maliliit na tagumpay—sa unang sulat ng pangalan, sa unang pagbasa ng salita, sa unang pakikipagkaibigan.

Sa bawat kwento at awit, hinuhubog niya ang imahinasyon. Sa bawat larong may aral, pinapalakas niya ang kakayahan. Sa bawat paalala tungkol sa kalusugan, kaligtasan, at tamang asal, inaalagaan niya hindi lang ang isip kundi pati ang puso at katawan ng bata.

Madalas hindi nakikita ng marami ang sakripisyo ng isang CDW—ang maagang pagpasok, ang mahabang paghahanda ng mga kagamitan, ang walang sawang pag-unawa sa iba’t ibang ugali at pangangailangan ng mga bata. Ngunit sa kabila nito, patuloy siyang naglilingkod nang may malasakit at dedikasyon.

Dahil sa kanya, nagkakaroon ng bright start ang bawat bata—isang simula na puno ng pag-asa, tamang paggabay, at matibay na pundasyon. At kapag matibay ang pundasyon, mas mataas ang mararating.

Ang isang Child Development Worker ay hindi lamang bahagi ng sistema—siya ay susi sa paghubog ng kinabukasan. 🌱✨
Sa kanyang mga kamay nagsisimula ang pangarap. Sa kanyang puso umuusbong ang pag-asa. At sa kanyang pagtitiyaga, sumisikat ang mas maliwanag na bukas para sa bawat bata.
