STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIPS FOR A CHILD-CENTERED NATIONAL CHILDREN’S MONTH 2026!
The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Hinatuan conducted a coordination meeting on October 02. 2026 at Hinatuan Municipal Gymnasium with the Child Development Service Parent Group (CDSPG) Officers from the different Child Development Centers (CDCs), together with the Municipal Federation of Child Development Workers and Staff (MFCDWS) Federation Officers, as part of the preparations for the upcoming National Children’s Month Celebration 2026.
The meeting served as an avenue to discuss the proposed activities, participation, roles, and responsibilities of parent leaders and Child Development Workers, while strengthening collaboration and partnership in promoting the welfare, protection, development, and meaningful participation of children.
During the meeting, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Ms. Sunrise B. Tumanda, RSW emphasized that parents are not merely beneficiaries of the ECCD Program—they are active and essential partners in providing children with appropriate care, guidance, protection, stimulation, and support both at home and in the Child Development Center. 💙
Also providing guidance and coordination was ECCD Focal Person Ms. Noemi S. Quirapas, RSW, who highlighted the importance of unified participation among the CDCs, parent groups, and ECCD Program Team in making the NCM celebration meaningful, inclusive, engaging, and truly child-centered.
The meeting was presided over by CDSPG Federation President Mr. Basilio O. Sabado, with the active participation of the CDSPG and MFCDWS Federation Officers who shared their ideas, suggestions, and proposed activities for the upcoming celebration.
When families, communities, and child development partners work together, children are given a stronger foundation to learn, grow, feel safe, and thrive.
