📢 BIR RR NO. 4-2026: ONE-TIME TAX ABATEMENT FOR MICRO TAXPAYERS

Good news for qualified Micro Taxpayers! 🇵🇭

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) issued Revenue Regulations No. 4-2026, providing a ONE-TIME opportunity to settle certain outstanding tax liabilities and penalties through an abatement program.

💡 WHO MAY QUALIFY?

✅ Micro taxpayers with gross annual sales/business receipts of less than ₱3,000,000

✅ The total basic tax liabilities and/or penalties must not exceed ₱80,000 per taxable year

📌 WHAT CASES MAY BE COVERED?

The program may cover, subject to the rules and conditions of the regulations:

• Delinquent tax accounts
• Preliminary or Final Assessments
• Open stop-filer cases
• Certain pending administrative protests
• Certain tax cases pending before the DOJ or courts
• Pending compromise settlement requests
• Certain pending requests for abatement
• Micro taxpayers who have already ceased business operations

📅 IMPORTANT CUT-OFF

The covered liabilities/cases must have existed on or before December 31, 2025.

💰 HOW MUCH IS THE ABATEMENT FEE?

Qualified applicants are required to pay an abatement fee of ₱5,000, subject to the prescribed application and payment procedures.

⏰ DEADLINE TO AVAIL

📌 Until December 31, 2026

👉 If you are a small business owner, freelancer, self-employed individual, or former business owner with old BIR tax liabilities, now is the time to check if you qualify.
