Attended the Committee Hearing spearheaded by the Committee on Transportation chaired by Atty. Sedfrey L. Cabaluna regarding the proposed ordinance institutionalizing the Transport/Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) in the City of Iloilo.

The proposed measure aims to strengthen traffic management and urban mobility planning by requiring TIA studies for major developments in the city. As a member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, I support initiatives that promote safer, more organized, and sustainable transportation systems for the benefit of every Ilonggo.

𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗢 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

My son, MJ, joined Batch 1 of the Batang Kusinero Summer Camp held last May 4–8. Throughout the program, the kids had a fun and exciting hands-on learning experience where they were able to make cupcakes, cookies, pizzas, doughnuts, pastillas, and even malunggay pandesal.

It was truly wonderful to see the children enjoy every activity while learning valuable kitchen and baking skills at such a young age. Beyond cooking and baking, the camp also gave them the opportunity to build confidence, express their creativity, and meet new friends along the way.

A heartfelt thank you to the Technical Institute of Iloilo City – Molo Campus for organizing such an engaging, educational, and enjoyable summer program for the kids. Experiences like this create meaningful memories and help inspire young learners to discover new interests and talents.

Attended a meeting together with Mayor Raisa Treñas, DENR Undersecretary Dr. Carlos Primo David, Councilor Romel Duron, representatives from the Water Districts of Panay and Negros, and other city officials to discuss practical and immediate measures that can help address the water supply concerns of Iloilo City.

As a member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, I support collaborative efforts that aim to improve access to stable and reliable water services for Ilonggos. Strengthening coordination among concerned agencies and stakeholders remains essential in finding sustainable solutions for our communities.

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗗𝗔𝗬

After the implementation of the 4-day work week in the Iloilo City Government, every Friday is dedicated to Community Engagement Day - today, our office carried out an ocular visit at the Jaro Public Market to monitor conditions and gather information.

Attended a committee hearing chaired by Councilor Rudolph Ganzon on the proposed Anti-Hoarding and Profiteering Ordinance of the City of Iloilo.

This proposed measure, endorsed by Mayor Raisa Treñas, aims to prevent unreasonable price increases and ensure the continuous availability of essential goods and prime commodities, especially during emergencies.

Attended the Committee Hearing of the Committee on Information Technology and Computerization, chaired by Councilor Nene Dela Llana, to deliberate on the proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Iloilo City Government and the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office VI (PSA RSSO VI) regarding data sharing for the Statistical Business Register.
