The circulating posts on social media alleging a data breach in COMELEC by stating that 83,910,248 million Filipino voters' information have been compromised are NOT TRUE.

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) reassures the Filipino public that all data and information of voters stored within the COMELEC network and database are COMPLETE and SECURE.

This comes after the thorough verification and investigation conducted by the COMELEC Information Technology Department Security Incident Response Team (ITD SIRT).

𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐇

As the voter registration period, which commenced on October 20, 2025, formally concludes on May 18, 2026, a significant influx of registrants was observed across the Province of Iloilo, particularly during the final days of registration.

In line with this, Regional Election Director Atty. Dennis L. Ausan, and Atty. Reinier B. Layson, Provincial Election Supervisor of the Province of Iloilo, personally visited various registration venues throughout the province to extend support to COMELEC field personnel who are bravely facing the last day demands.

It may likewise be noted that COMELEC field personnel continuously conducted satellite registration activities in different barangays to bring registration services closer to the public and help decongest registration centers amid the expected increase in turnout.

Through the leadership and guidance of Director Ausan, and the proactive supervision and support of Atty. Layson, coupled with the tireless efforts and professionalism of the Iloilo field personnel, the conduct of voter registration in the Province and City of Iloilo remained orderly, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the public.

Ipinababatid po sa lahat na pansamantalang 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗗𝗢 ang pagproseso at pag-isyu ng Voter’s Certificate sa Lunes, 18 May 2026, sa mga Opisina ng Election Officer (OEOs) sa buong bansa upang bigyang-daan ang huling araw ng voter registration. Magbabalik ang regular na operasyon sa mga OEO sa 19 May 2026.

Gayunpaman, 𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜 𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗞𝗧𝗔𝗗𝗢 ng suspensyong ito ang pagproseso at pag-isyu ng Voter’s Certificate sa COMELEC National Central File Division, FEMII Building, Extension Cabildo St., Intramuros, Manila. Mananatili itong bukas sa publiko sa Lunes, 18 May 2026, mula 8:00 AM hanggang 5:00 PM.
