Strengthening partnerships that promote innovation, infrastructure development, and stronger collaboration, the Land Transportation Office in Western Visayas (LTO-6) joined business and government leaders in celebrating a major milestone for MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) with the launch of its first coffee table book and the groundbreaking of its future corporate headquarters.
Representing the agency's commitment to collaboration with key stakeholders, LTO-6 Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II attended the unveiling of โIlluminating Iloilo: MORE Power's Grounding Milestones,โ a coffee table book that chronicles the company's transformation of power distribution services in Iloilo City and neighboring municipalities over the last five years.
The publication highlights MORE Power's journey in modernizing the local power sector, improving service reliability, and investing in infrastructure that has helped support Iloilo's rapid economic growth.
Director Geduspan said the coffee table book serves as a testament to the company's commitment to providing reliable and affordable electricity to Ilonggos while documenting the milestones that have contributed to the region's continued progress.
""The presence of LTO-6 at this milestone reflects our belief that progress in transportation and progress in infrastructure go hand in hand. We congratulate MORE Power on this achievement."," Director Geduspan said.
Beyond the book launch, MORE Power also marked another significant chapter in its history with the groundbreaking ceremony for the future MORE Power Tower and the unveiling of its architectural faรงade design.
The planned corporate tower represents a major investment that is expected to further strengthen the company's operations while supporting Iloilo City's emergence as one of the country's fastest-growing urban centers.
Leading the event were MORE Power President and Chief Executive Officer Roel Z. Castro and Chairman Stephen George A. Paradies, joined by local chief executives, government officials, business leaders, and representatives from various sectors.
LTO-6 continues to engage with key industry and government partners in Western Visayas, recognizing that robust public services are built on a foundation of shared purpose and mutual support across sectors.

Demonstrating that public service extends beyond public roads and highways, the Land Transportation Office in Western Visayas (LTO-6) joined the nationwide Brigada Eskwela campaign, lending its support to efforts aimed at preparing schools for the opening of classes.
Leading the agencyโs participation was LTO-6 Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II, who joined teachers, school personnel, parents, and community volunteers during the Brigada Eskwela kick-off program at Consolacion Elementary School in San Miguel, Iloilo earlier today.
Director Geduspan was accompanied by LTO San Miguel District Office Acting Chief Mark Anthony Solanio and personnel of the LTO Regional Law Enforcement Section 6, including Field Enforcement Unit Acting Chief Jetster T. Mandadero and FEU personnel Ms. Shiela Mae C. Alulod.
Brigada Eskwela, an annual nationwide volunteer program of the Department of Education, brings together government agencies, local officials, private organizations, and community members to help clean, repair, and prepare public schools before the start of the school year.
Director Geduspan stressed that the initiative reflects LTO-6โs continuing advocacy of bringing government closer to the people through active community engagement and meaningful partnerships that create lasting positive impact.
During the event, Director Geduspan and the LTO-6 personnel helped reinforce the spirit of bayanihan, ensuring that students return to a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment when classes begin.

The Land Transportation Office in Western Visayas (LTO-6) reaffirmed its commitment to safer roads and stronger inter-agency coordination after actively participating in a high-level meeting of the Development Administration Committee of the Regional Development Council (RDC)-6 held earlier today at the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development Region-VI.
Representing Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II during the technical working group meeting were Atty. Jehan Miranda, Chief of the Intelligence and Investigation Unit, and Mr. Gerome Dalipe of the Office of the Regional Director.
During the meeting, Atty. Miranda provided updates on LTO-6's landmark data-sharing partnership with the Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6), a key initiative aimed at improving road safety enforcement and strengthening accountability among motorists across Western Visayas.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by LTO-6 Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II and PRO-6 Regional Director PBGen. Josefino D. Ligan during a previous Regional Development Council meeting.
The agreement institutionalizes a formal referral system for police blotter reports involving transport-related violations, creating a stronger mechanism for coordination between law enforcement and transportation authorities.
At the heart of the initiative is seamless information sharing. Under the agreement, PRO-6 will regularly provide LTO-6 with comprehensive police reports involving serious road crashes, traffic incidents, and transport-related violations throughout Iloilo City and the provinces of Iloilo, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Negros Occidental.
The reports include incident narratives, sketches, photographs, witness statements, blotter excerpts, and other critical documents that will enable LTO-6 to take appropriate administrative action against erring motorists and drivers.
Director Geduspan has emphasized the initiative is expected to significantly enhance evidence-based enforcement, strengthen road safety programs, and improve the government's ability to identify habitual traffic offenders.
