INSET 2026: "Strengthening Teachers' Competencies in PISA-Like Assessment, Learning Continuity, and Data-Driven Instruction for Improved Learner Outcomes"
Maledda Integrated School successfully concluded its two-day INSET 2026 on September 2–3, 2026, with teachers from Mansanita ES and Maleddaa IS.
🌟 Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Ma’am Gemmaline C. Bumanglag, our PSDS-ETD 1, for sharing her inspiring message with us. She encouraged us to do our work heartily, trusting that God sees and rewards every faithful effort. Her career journey and reminder that “Being a teacher is a calling” touched our hearts and reminded us of the true purpose of our profession—to teach with commitment, faith, and heart. 🙏❤️
📊Highlights of the training included SOLO Taxonomy in Assessment Design and PISA-Like Assessment, which strengthened teachers’ skills in developing meaningful, contextualized, and higher-order assessment tasks. A heartfelt thank you to our speaker, Ma’am Marieta P. Bas-ilen, for generously sharing her knowledge, expertise, and valuable insights. Her engaging discussions greatly enriched our learning and will surely help us improve our assessment practices and better respond to the diverse needs of our learners.
The training also strengthened teachers’ capacity to use assessment data to inform instruction, provide appropriate learning interventions, and make teaching more responsive to learners’ needs.
