FAMILY DAY CELEBRATION 2026
The 57 Child Development Centers (CDCs) of Iriga City successfully conducted their Family Day Celebration throughout the month of September 2026, bringing together learners, parents, Child Development Workers (CDWs), and Barangay Officials for a meaningful celebration centered on family, unity, and community participation.
Before the start of the Family Day activities, some CDCs organized a walk parade, while others conducted a motorcade around their respective communities. These activities served as a lively opening to the celebration and helped promote awareness and participation of families and community members in the ECCD program.
The Family Day activities were held in different venues depending on the agreement of the parents and CDWs and the available facilities within their respective communities. Families actively participated in various games, parlor games, and recreational activities designed to encourage bonding and cooperation between parents and children.
The celebration also provided an opportunity for learners and parents to showcase their talents. Some participants presented poems, songs, and other special performances, adding entertainment and excitement to the event.
The Induction of Parents for School Year 2026–2027 was also incorporated into the Family Day celebration. This formally recognized the parents' commitment and encouraged their continued active participation in the programs and activities of their respective CDCs.
The presence and participation of Barangay Officials further strengthened the community's support for the ECCD program. Their involvement demonstrated the importance of collaboration among the barangay, families, CDWs, and other community stakeholders in promoting the welfare and holistic development of young children.
After the program and activities, families shared a potluck-style salu-salo, with each family bringing food to share with the other participants. This provided an additional opportunity for families, CDWs, and community leaders to socialize, build stronger relationships, and celebrate together as one community.
Overall, the Family Day Celebration 2026 across the 57 CDCs of Iriga City successfully promoted family bonding, parent participation, community involvement, and partnership in ECCD. Through the various activities, families were given meaningful opportunities to spend quality time together while supporting the growth, development, and well-being of their children.
