Pagmamanto is a sacred ritual, usually held after the Pilgrim's Mass in the Minore Basilica of Our Lady of Peñafrancia. This is where devotees seek protection under the mantle of Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

On this day, the coronation of Our Lady of Peñafrancia in Naga City took place, a significant event that was presided over by the Apostolic Delegate Papal Legate Guglielmo Piani S.D.B., representing Pope Benedict XV. This act of papal recognition underscores the importance of the event within the region's history. The crown and mantle, symbols of her coronation, have been carefully preserved over time, serving as tangible reminders of the Bicolano’s deep sense of faith to INA and cultural significance of this revered figure.

"Himno a la Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia" or "Resuene Vibrante" beautifully captures Bicol's faith, composed by Rev. Fr. Maximo Juguera, CM, and translated by Most Rev. Teotimo Pacis, CM, DD. It beautifully reflects the Bicol region's deep religious faith and cultural identity, showcasing the strong bond between the people and Ina, who embodies their hopes, beliefs, and aspirations.

As we celebrate the Peñafrancia Feast this year, we remember the Colgante Bridge tragedy, 52 years ago. It reminds us that amidst the joy and devotion, we must also acknowledge the fragility of life and honor those we lost.
