Classes at all levels, both in public and private schools in the Municipality of Isabela, are SUSPENDED tomorrow, March 16, 2026 (Monday) due to ashfall from the recent eruption of Kanlaon Volcano.

We encourage everyone to stay indoors when possible, wear facemasks, and continue to follow official advisories for your safety.

The Executive Order (EO) will be posted shortly.

The suspension of face-to-face classes is hereby EXTENDED until tomorrow, February 11, 2026, and until further notice, in all levels—both public and private schools—in the Municipality of Isabela, Negros Occidental.

This measure is implemented to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and school personnel, following the advisory from DOST–PAGASA indicating intense and continuous rainfall that may result in flooding, landslides, and other weather-related hazards.

We strongly advise everyone to remain vigilant, closely monitor official announcements, and avoid unnecessary travel. Rest assured that we are continuously monitoring the situation and will issue timely updates as necessary.

This measure is implemented to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel following the issuance of DOST–PAGASA, which indicates intense and continuous rainfall that may lead to flooding, landslides, and other weather-related hazards.

We apologize for the late announcement. The LGU ensured careful assessment and coordination before issuing this advisory to make the best decision for everyone’s safety.

All are advised to remain vigilant, monitor official announcements, and avoid unnecessary travel. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as needed.
