“Maraming salamat sa inyong pag-tulong, dahil hindi lang ito basta internet kasi it helps us a lot in terms of our studies.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) confirms that a website defacement incident occurred involving a staging environment used in the development, testing, and validation of a website prior to its official deployment.

The affected site was a development and testing environment and was not the final version of the website intended for official public implementation. It was being used to evaluate the website's functionality, configurations, and other components as part of the preparation for its eventual deployment.

Upon detection of the incident, DICT immediately initiated an assessment of the affected environment to establish the circumstances surrounding the unauthorized access and determine whether any security weaknesses may have been involved.

DICT is also reviewing the environment to identify and address any vulnerabilities that may require remediation. The results of the assessment will inform the implementation of appropriate corrective and security measures, including necessary improvements to the environment and its security controls, before the website proceeds to official deployment.

As a precautionary measure, the Department will ensure that the necessary security checks and validation activities are completed before any related system is made available for official public use. Any identified security concerns will be addressed as part of this process.

DICT remains committed to strengthening the security of its digital infrastructure through appropriate security testing, validation, and assessment prior to the official deployment of its systems.
