DILG Kananga, together with barangay officials and representatives of the Municipal CART, attended the “Pag-aram ha EODB: Enhancing Frontline Governance through Effective Citizen’s Charter Implementation” held via Zoom on August 25, 2026.

The activity focused on the proper implementation of the Citizen’s Charter to ensure clear, efficient, and responsive frontline services for the public.

DILG Kananga presented the Guidelines on the Implementation of the Bawat Barangay Under Socio-Civic Project Funds to the Punong Barangays.

The presentation was held during the Liga Meeting on August 20, 2026, at the Liga Function Hall, New Municipal Building, Kananga, Leyte.

The activity provided the Punong Barangays an opportunity to raise questions and clarify concerns regarding the implementation of the program, particularly on the proper use of the funds for the program scholars and priority development projects.

𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝘼𝘿𝘼𝘾 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙜-𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣

As part of the continuous Training/Seminar for Force Multipliers, BPOC, BADAC, and EO 70, DILG Kananga conducted the Strengthening Institutional Capacities of Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (SICAP-BADAC) on August 19, 2026 at PAGCOR Building, Kananga, Leyte.

The activity was aimed to strengthen the capacity of BADACs in fulfilling their roles and meeting the requirements for the retention of drug-cleared status.

PDEA personnel provided guidance on the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP), including the step-by-step process and documentary requirements needed for the application.

BADAC representatives from all 23 barangays of Kananga actively participated in the activity, equipping them with the knowledge and guidance needed to better comply with the requirements and sustain their drug-cleared status.

𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙪𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮

DILG Kananga conducted the Training/Seminar for Barangay Officials/Lupon Members on Barangay Justice System/Katarungang Pambarangay/ADR on August 18, 2026, at PAGCOR Building, Kananga, Leyte.

The training highlighted the proper procedures in handling and settling disputes through the Katarungang Pambarangay system, with discussions on the Guide to Commonly Used KP Forms.

The activity brought together Lupon Members from all 23 barangays of Kananga, providing them with practical knowledge to better perform their roles and properly observe the required steps in KP proceedings.

𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀!

DILG Kananga provided technical assistance to the Sangguniang Bayan of Kananga as part of the preparations for the 2026 Local Legislative Awards (LLA). The assistance included guidance and review of the necessary documents and requirements for the upcoming assessment.

Through this collaboration, DILG Kananga continues to support the Sangguniang Bayan in strengthening local legislation and promoting good governance.

From preparation to assessment, DILG Kananga and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kananga worked hand in hand to ensure readiness for the Regional Local Governance Champions (RLGC) Assessment.

Through teamwork, coordination, document review, and continuous support, both teams demonstrated their shared commitment to good governance, effective local administration, and quality public service.

The journey continues, and every preparation is a step toward excellence.
