11 March 2025, Cotabato City- The Higher Education in the Context of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (HECBOL), under the direction of 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐉. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐃𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐈𝐈𝐈, alongside 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐨 𝐂. 𝐀𝐥𝐣𝐢𝐛𝐞 and the HECBOL staff paid a courtesy visit to the office of the honorable 𝐌𝐁𝐇𝐓𝐄 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐌. 𝐈𝐪𝐛𝐚𝐥 and 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐢 𝐌. 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢 to engage in detailed discussions aimed at strengthening their collaboration. The conversation centered on aligning mutual goals and shared responsibilities in the proposed MOA Signing 2025.

Minister Iqbal emphasized that while the national government has separated the sub-sectors of education, BARMM has chosen to integrate them into a unified system. However, this structural difference does not hinder the potential of collaboration. Instead, it underscores the need for BARMM to engage in national agencies like CHED, whose expertise in higher education quality assurance remains invaluable.

Both parties were able to engage in productive discussion, reinforcing their commitment to collaboration and furthering their shared goals.
