The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1, under the leadership of our Regional Director, FCSUPT ANTONIO N RAZAL JR, extends its sincere gratitude to the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region 1 for the installation of Free WiFi for All at the BFP Regional Office 1.

This initiative is implemented under the Broadband ng Masa (BBM) Program, bringing accessible and reliable internet connectivity closer to communities and government institutions.

BFP Region 1 values the continued support of the DICT in utilizing technology to enhance connectivity, improve efficiency, and strengthen public service.

TINGNAN | ANG INAASAHANG BAGONG FIRETRUCKS PARA SA MAS MABILIS NA EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Plano ng DILG na magdagdag ng 1,500 bagong firetrucks para sa mga lokal na pamahalaan sa buong bansa sa loob ng susunod na isa't kalahating taon, sa ilalim ng nakaplanong procurement mula sa Korea.
Ang mga larawan ay illustration pa lamang ng ispesipikasyong inihahanda ng BFP. Hindi pa ito ang aktuwal na mga yunit.
Ganito ang inaasahang uri: tangke na hindi bababa sa 3,000 litro, pump na hindi bababa sa 1,800 litro kada minuto, at crew cab para sa anim na tauhan, kasama ang mga rescue tool.
Layunin nitong matugunan ang kakulangan sa firefighting equipment at mapalakas ang kakayahan ng mga lungsod at munisipyo sa mas mabilis na pagtugon sa sunog at iba pang emergency.

BFP REGION 1 | TRADITIONAL MONDAY FLAG-RAISING CEREMONY

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1, under the supervision of our Regional Director, FCSUPT ANTONIO N RAZAL JR, DSC, conducted its Traditional Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony.

Serving as the Troop Information and Education Speaker, SFO4 MYRA B RAMOS, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal of Curimao Fire Station, Ilocos Norte, shared an insightful message on the importance of embracing technology and innovation in the modern fire service.

She emphasized that while advanced technology could make our work faster, safer, and more effective, our values determined how we used these capabilities. When technology was combined with integrity, discipline, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to serve, we became better prepared to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world.

The ceremony reminded everyone to continue learning, adapting, and embracing technological progress while remaining faithful to the values that defined BFP personnel as uniformed personnel and public servants.

BFP REGION 1 | TRI-SKILLS ENHANCEMENT CAPABILITY PROGRAM

Under the guidance of our Regional Director, FCSUPT ANTONIO N RAZAL JR, DSC, BFP Region 1 personnel participated in the Tri-Skills Enhancement Capability Program on Rescue: Rope Systems and Packaging, conducted by the BFP Region 1 Special Rescue Force (SRF).

The training enhances the skills and capabilities of our BFP R1 Personnel in rope rescue systems and patient packaging, which are vital in rescue operations involving high-angle areas, steep terrain, confined spaces, and other challenging environments.

Through continuous training and skills enhancement, BFP Region 1 remains committed to building a highly capable, prepared, and responsive fire and rescue force.

BFP REGION 1 | FLAG-RAISING CEREMONY

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1, headed by our Regional Director FCSUPT ANTONIO N RAZAL JR, DSC, conducted its Flag Raising Ceremony, fostering unity, discipline, and a renewed commitment to public service.

The Troop Education Speaker, SFO3 NOLI ANGELO F GUDOY, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal of Carasi Fire Station, Ilocos Norte, shared his experiences and insights on the importance of innovation and technology in strengthening fire service operations.

He emphasized that meaningful change does not always begin with something big. Sometimes, it starts with the small things we choose to do today because great things are built from small steps.

Let us continue to embrace innovation, take initiative, and turn small ideas into meaningful improvements for the communities we serve.

On September 22, 2026, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), led by DILG Secretary Hon. Juanito Victor “Jonvic” C. Remulla, presented its proposed budget before the House of Representatives during the budget hearing held at the Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City.

As one of the DILG’s attached agencies, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), under the leadership of FCSUPT WILBERTO RICO NEIL A KWAN TIU, Officer-in-Charge, BFP, participated in the deliberations alongside the DILG and its other attached agencies.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1, headed by Regional Director FCSUPT ANTONIO N RAZAL JR, DSC, extends its sincere appreciation to the leadership and Members of the House of Representatives for their questions, insights and constructive engagement throughout the budget deliberations.

BFP Region 1 likewise expresses its appreciation to Hon. Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III and Hon. Arnie B. Fuentebella, Representative of the 4th District of Camarines Sur, for their leadership, support and meaningful participation in the proceedings.

The public is advised to remain vigilant and verify the identity and official designation of anyone claiming to represent the BFP or its officials.

Please do not provide personal information, money, or other forms of assistance to suspicious individuals.

Any similar incident may be reported immediately to the nearest BFP office or proper authorities for verification and appropriate action.

BFP REGION 1 | 2026 INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEAN-UP

Under the leadership of Regional Director FCSUPT ANTONIO N RAZAL JR, DSC, the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1 joined the 2026 International Coastal Clean-Up with the theme, “Clean Seas for Resilient Communities.”

The activity was held at Damortis Fish Port, Sto. Tomas, La Union, bringing together various government agencies, local government units, community groups, and other stakeholders in a collective effort to protect and preserve our coastal environment.

BFP Region 1 continues to support environmental protection and promote community participation toward cleaner, safer, and more resilient coastal communities.
