Representing the City Government of Laoag, Ms. Shey Pia G. Abaya, PESO Manager and Migrant Desk Officer joined program anchor Ms. Cely C. Paz for an engaging discussion on the programs, services, and initiatives that bring government assistance closer to every Laoagueño.

Among the key topics discussed were:

📊 Labor Market Information (LMI) – Updates on local employment trends, in-demand occupations, and available job opportunities to help jobseekers make informed career decisions.

💼 Job Fair Schedules and Recruitment Activities – Information on upcoming job fairs, local recruitment activities, and employment opportunities connecting applicants with prospective employers.

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Laoag City successfully conducted the Career Development Support Program (CDSP) for 166 Grade 10 and Grade 12 learners of Gabu National High School on October 12, 2026.

The program aims to empower learners to make informed decisions about their future by helping them explore career opportunities, recognize their interests and strengths, understand the world of work, and prepare for their chosen educational and career pathways. Through career guidance and development activities, PESO seeks to equip students with the knowledge, confidence, and direction they need as they transition to the next stage of their academic and professional journeys.
