LOW ANGLE RESCUE TECHNIQUE 🪢🚨
The MOSAR 2026-06 participants advanced to another critical mountain rescue skill through a hands-on Low Angle Rescue Technique exercise, focusing on the proper construction and application of anchor systems and rope-based rescue setups.
The activity incorporated the use of a constructed anchor system, including the Picket Anchor System, as well as an Artificial High Directional System (AHD) to enhance rope management, positioning, and operational efficiency in challenging terrain.
Participants developed and practiced:
✅ Proper anchor construction and system setup
✅ Application of the Picket Anchor System
✅ Deployment and operation of an Artificial High Directional System (AHD)
✅ Rope system management and team coordination
✅ Safe movement of rescuers and patients across low-angle terrain
✅ Effective communication and operational discipline
✅ Risk assessment and safety considerations during technical rescue operations
Every anchor, every rope, and every movement must be deliberate. In mountain rescue, technical skill, teamwork, and safety are the foundation of a successful operation.
Build the anchor. Manage the system. Move with purpose. Rescue with confidence. 🪢⛰️💪
