PNP INTENSIFIES WV MANHUNT DRIVE, 3 REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSONS ARRESTED
The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported the successful arrest of three Regional Most Wanted Persons in a series of separate operations conducted on June 1, 2026 in Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and Occidental Mindoro, as part of its continuing nationwide drive to locate and bring fugitives to justice.
These coordinated manhunt operations highlight the sustained efforts of police units on the ground, working closely with various support teams to ensure that individuals with standing warrants are properly accounted for under the rule of law.
In Occidental Mindoro, authorities arrested the No. 1 Regional Most Wanted Person in Barangay San Agustin, San Jose. The suspect was apprehended through the implementation of multiple arrest warrants issued by the court for serious criminal cases, including arson and violent offenses. Police ensured a peaceful arrest and immediately informed the suspect of his rights.
In Iloilo, tracker teams successfully served a warrant of arrest against a Regional Most Wanted Person ranked Top 5 in Barangay Tabuc-Suba, Barotac Nuevo. The operation was carried out by local police units with the necessary coordination, resulting in a smooth and orderly arrest.
In Negros Occidental, another Regional Most Wanted Person listed as Top 6 was arrested in Barangay Inapoy, Kabankalan City. The operation was jointly executed by operating units and supporting personnel, ensuring that the warrant of arrest was implemented without incident and in accordance with legal procedures.
All arrested individuals are now under police custody and will be turned over to the proper authorities for documentation and further legal proceedings.
PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., recognized the efforts of the operating units, noting that sustained field accomplishments reflect a police organization that remains steady in its duty to protect communities while respecting the rights of every individual.
โPatuloy po nating pinapakita na ang PNP ay hindi natitinag sa pagtupad ng tungkulin. We act decisively, but always within the bounds of law and respect for rights. This is the kind of service our citizens deserve,โ he said.,โ he said.
He also emphasized that these operational gains support the broader direction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in strengthening public order initiatives and ensuring that law enforcement remains responsive and visible in communities across the country.
This accomplishment aligns with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, reinforcing a more coordinated and proactive approach in handling wanted persons and other priority police concerns.
As the organization continues to build on its operational momentum, Chief PNP Nartatez reiterated the commitment to a more reliable and people-centered police service guided by the principle of Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman, reflecting steady service that the public can truly experience on the ground.

PNP CYBER OPERATIONS YIELD 153 ARRESTS AND 145 CASES FILED
The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported strong operational gains in its cybercrime campaign for the month of May 2026, highlighting sustained efforts to protect the public from evolving online threats and strengthen trust and safety in the digital space.
From May 1 to 31, 2026, the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group recorded significant progress in case build-up and enforcement actions. A total of 145 cases were referred for filing, consisting of 105 regular filings and 40 inquest proceedings. During the same period, cyber operatives arrested 45 individuals by virtue of duly issued warrants, while 45 others were apprehended through entrapment operations.
A further 63 suspects were arrested in the implementation of warrants to search, seize, and examine computer data, and 17 individuals were convicted in cyber-related cases.
The unit also intensified its investigative and digital enforcement work, carrying out 140 warrants to disclose computer data, along with additional warrants supporting forensic and technical examination processes. Operational activity remained high, with 2,124 cyber patrols conducted nationwide, 66 digital forensic examinations completed, and 7 victims of cybercrime successfully rescued and assisted.
PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the accomplishments, stressing that these gains reflect a more proactive and responsive police organization adapting to the realities of modern crime. He noted that the PNP continues to strengthen its capabilities to ensure that online spaces remain safe and accountable.
โPatuloy nating pinapalakas ang kakayahan ng ating mga cyber operatives dahil ang krimen ngayon ay hindi na lamang sa lansangan nangyayari, kundi pati na rin sa digital na mundo. We are making sure that our response is faster, smarter, and more coordinated,โ the Chief PNP said, adding that the public can expect sustained efforts against all forms of cybercrime.
He also emphasized that these results are aligned with ongoing reforms under the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly the Enhanced Managing Police Operations framework, which guides field units toward more intelligence-driven and technology-enabled policing. The direction of the national government under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. continues to reinforce these initiatives, especially in improving digital safety and public service delivery.
As the PNP continues to move forward, it reaffirms its commitment to a more responsive and trusted police service, ensuring that law enforcement keeps pace with the rapidly changing threat landscape. This latest accomplishment underscores the organizationโs ongoing transformation guided by the vision of Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman, as it further strengthens its presence both on the ground and in cyberspace.
