The Legazpi City Fire Station, under the leadership of FSINSP JOERES REY V OYARDO, Acting City Fire Marshal, through its Administrative Section personnel, participated in the Career Orientation Seminar 2 & Job and Business Fairs organized by Divine Word College of Legazpi (DWCL) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Said event was held on April 7 to 8 2026. This activity provides opportunities to aspiring jobseekers who wish to be part of this noble job, a firefighter.

𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘄𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 5 under the steadfast leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐌 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐎, 𝐏𝐡.𝐃., 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Acting Regional Director, joins the nation in commemorating 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧, a day etched in our history with the blood, sacrifice, and undying courage of our Filipino heroes.

Their valor did not end on the battlefields of Bataan and Corregidor. It lives on, in every firefighter who rushes into danger, in every public servant who chooses duty over comfort, and in every Filipino who refuses to give up.

To our fallen heroes: Hindi kayo malilimutan.
To our men and women in uniform: Carry their legacy with pride.
Today, their story lives on, not as a tale of defeat, but as a powerful reminder of bravery, sacrifice, and the unyielding Filipino spirit.

Let us continue their legacy through service, unity, and love for our country. Mabuhay ang kabayanihang Pilipino!

06 March 2026 // The Legazpi City Fire Station (LCFS) conducted a Pensioners and Survivorship Headcount this afternoon held at its central station in Brgy. Dap Dap. Said activity was aimed to ensure proper accounting of all qualified beneficiaries and reaffirmed LCFS's commitment to serve retirees and surviving dependents. A free health check-up was generously facilitated by Dr. Jose Karlo Ragragio Ojano, MD, specializing in General Medicine, Industrial, and Occupational Health, whose expertise contributed to the attendees’ well-being. The event was made possible through the initiative of the Acting City Fire Marshal, FSINSP JOERES REY V OYARDO, in collaboration with Chief, Administrative Section, SFO3 Melba M. Ansano, ensuring its smooth implementation, and highlighted a unified effort to honor and continuously support our pensioners and survivors.

06 April 2026 | Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and Monthly Rank Inspection

The Legazpi City Fire Station personnel under the leadership of FSINSP JOERES REY V OYARDO, Acting City Fire Marshal jumspstarts the week with a Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony with FO3 Billy S Oro as the Troop Information and Education Speaker.

Thereafter, rank inspection was conducted after the ceremony. The said activity is conducted to ensure strict adherence and observance of the Standard Guidelines for the proper wearing of BFP uniforms and paraphernalia as we continue to serve our community with dedication and commitment.

05 April 2026 (Day 8)

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 / Legazpi City Fire Station (LCFS), under the leadership of FSINSP JOERES REY V OYARDO, Acting City Fire Marshal, deployed its personnel with First Aid Service Team (FAST) to established motorists assistance points at different conspicuous places around Legazpi especially at coastal areas where beach goers gather for the Easter swim. Distribution of Fire Safety Leaflets and Fire Truck/Rescue Truck Visibility/Monitoring were also conducted.

This contingent effort is in line with BFP's objective to provide rapid response to emergencies and other related incidents, which may involve motorists, travelers, church goers and tourists, thru an effective Deployment Plan for annual OPLAN Semana Santa and Lakbay Alalay during the observance of the Lenten Season.
