IMPORTANT ADVISORY

The general public is hereby informed that municipal government offices of Liloan, Southern Leyte will be providing limited public services from February 2 (Monday) to February 4 (Wednesday), 2026.

This temporary limitation is due to the attendance of key municipal officials and officers in a three-day Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) Workshop and Executive and Legislative Agenda (ELA). As such, services that require decision-making and immediate approval from key officials will not be available during the aforementioned dates.

The Municipal Government of Liloan respectfully asks for your understanding and cooperation. This activity is a vital component of Philippine local governance, serving as the foundational roadmap for three- to six-year development cycles. It ensures that the local government moves beyond ad hoc decision-making toward evidence-based, sustainable, and participatory development for the benefit of the community.

Normal operations and full services will resume immediately after the activity.

All Meatshop Owners and Hog Raisers in the Municipality are hereby informed and invited to attend a Public Hearing regarding the following proposed municipal ordinances:

1. Draft Municipal Ordinance No. 2026–396
"An ordinance establishing the standard buying price of live hogs and meat products within the Municipality of Liloan, Southern Leyte and providing penalties for violations thereof."

2. Draft Municipal Ordinance No. 2026–397
"An ordinance prohibiting backyard hog raisers from selling or transporting live hogs to other municipalities and providing penalties for violations thereof."

Effective January 15, 2026, a strict 5-Ton maximum gross vehicle weight limit is enforced on all vehicles crossing LILOAN BRIDGE in the interest of public safety. This is an increase from the previous 3-ton limit.

Motorists are enjoined to observe this regulation and use alternate routes/ports as necessary. Your cooperation is essential in ensuring the safety of all road users and in preserving this vital infrastructure.
