𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆: 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝐧𝐚 𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘆-𝗱𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄-𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄 🚍💚

Noong ika-28 ng Abril 2026, matagumpay na naisagawa ang pamamahagi ng suporta sa ilalim ng 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲: 𝐀 𝐔𝐏𝐋𝐁 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 para sa ating mga jeepney drivers na patuloy na nagseserbisyo sa komunidad ng University of the Philippines Los Baños.

Pinangunahan ang programa sa pamamagitan ng opening remarks ni Atty. Eric Paul D. Peralta, na sinundan ng mensahe ng suporta mula kay Chancellor Dr. Jose V. Camacho, Jr. Isinagawa ang pormal na turnover ng tulong, at nagbigay naman ng tugon si G. Rolly Pascual, Pangulo ng ELFJODAI, bilang kinatawan ng ating mga driver.

Sa simpleng pagtitipon na ito, muling naipakita ang pagpapahalaga sa ating mga jeepney drivers—mga kasamang matagal nang naging bahagi ng bawat biyahe, bawat pasok, at bawat pag-uwi sa UPLB.

Hindi dito nagtatapos ang Arangkada Alalay. Patuloy itong magsusumikap na mas mapalawak pa ang maabot na mga driver at makapagbigay ng iba’t ibang uri ng tulong upang makatulong sa kanilang pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan. Sa ganitong paraan, kinikilala natin ang mahalagang papel nila sa maayos na daloy ng buhay sa loob ng pamantasan.

Sama-sama, patuloy nating isinusulong ang malasakit at bayanihan sa komunidad.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nagpaabot ng suporta para sa 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲: 𝐀 𝐔𝐏𝐋𝐁 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦.

Dahil sa inyong kabutihang-loob, nakapagbibigay tayo ng tulong sa ating mga lokal na jeepney drivers—ang mga masisipag na katuwang na sa loob ng maraming taon ay ligtas na naghatid sa iba’t ibang henerasyon ng mga Iskolar ng Bayan.
Sa bawat ambag, pinatutunayan nating buhay na buhay ang diwa ng bayanihan sa UPLB. Thank you for helping us give back to those who have long been part of our everyday journeys.

At ito pa lamang ang simula. Sa mga susunod na yugto ng Arangkada Alalay, hangad nating mas marami pang sektor sa ating komunidad ang maabot at masuportahan—patuloy na isinusulong ang malasakit, pagkakaisa, at paglilingkod.

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. ♻️🌿

Yesterday, April 23, 2026, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs (OVCCA) supported the UPLB Office of Student Housing (OSH) in the successful conduct of the 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲-𝗮𝘁-𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗦) 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 held at the Women’s Residence Hall, UPLB. The activity gathered dormitory personnel and partner units in a shared commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

As part of OVCCA’s support, Engr. Paulo Altoveros served as a resource speaker and presented the University’s guidelines on waste-at-source segregation—emphasizing the importance of coordinated and community-driven action.

The program was further enriched by Engr. Leonidas A. Caoili, who discussed the current status of UPLB’s solid waste management and collection systems, and Dr. Virginia C. Cuevas, who shared practical approaches on composting food waste and other biodegradable materials.

Through dialogue, collaboration, and hands-on engagement, participants from various residence halls and units strengthened their capacity to implement effective and sustainable waste management practices across campus.

This initiative highlights the continued partnership of UPLB offices in promoting environmentally responsible communities—starting from our shared living spaces.

Yesterday, March 30, 2026, the University of the Philippines Los Baños formalized its partnership through a MOA signing for gas provisions with UPLB-adjacent barangays, including Barangay Maahas, Barangay Tuntungin-Putho, and Barangay Batong Malake, as well as key partner agencies: the Los Baños Fire Station, Los Baños Municipal Police Station, and the Public Order and Safety Office.

This initiative reinforces our shared commitment to safety, preparedness, and service to the community.
