SENIOR CITIZENS SOCIAL PENSION PAY-OUT

The second day of the social pension pay-out for senior citizens in the Municipality of M’lang was successfully conducted today, covering the barangays of Inas, Bialong, Lika, New Antique, Dalipe, Katipunan, New Consolacion, New Lawaan, Magallon, Malayan, Liboo, and Ugpay.

22nd Women Disability Day

The 22nd Women Disability Day of the Province of Cotabato was held today at the AgriCenter, Capitol, Amas, Kidapawan City, with the theme “Landas ng Makabagong Babaylan: Pantay, inklusibo, at Lahat May Kakayahan,” aiming to recognize the importance of women with disabilities who play a significant role in the improvement and development of the province.

Board Member Ivy Martia Lei C. Dalumpines-Ballitoc represented Governor Emmylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza at the celebration, highlighting the province’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities. In serbisyong totoo, women and PWDs are partners in building a more inclusive and progressive Province of Cotabato. In her message, she emphasized that disabilities are not a barrier to having a voice and exercising one’s rights in the community; rather, they should serve as an inspiration to become responsible citizens who are capable of leading and showing the world that disability is not a hindrance to serving and working. She also discussed the province’s Revised PWD Code, which outlines the rights and privileges of persons with disabilities, further strengthening inclusive policies and ensuring equal opportunities for all sectors in society.

SENIOR CITIZENS SOCIAL PENSION PAY-OUT

The first day of the social pension pay-out for senior citizens in the Municipality of M’lang was successfully conducted today, covering the barangays of Buayan, Sangat, Poblacion A and B, Gaunan, Dungoan, Langkong, Tawan-Tawan, Dugong, and Lepaga.

Board Member Ivy Martia Lei C. Dalumpines-Ballitoc personally visited and monitored the distribution, upon the instruction of Governor Emmylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza, to ensure that the pensions are properly delivered to the beneficiaries.

In her message, she also shared that the provincial government remains committed to its mandate of delivering these benefits directly to the barangays. Moreover, for those who are unable to travel like bedridden elderly, the provincial government will personally deliver the pensions to their homes, in line with the Governor’s goal of bringing government services closer to the community.

Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Consultative Meeting

The Implementation of the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Consultative Meeting of TESDA XII was successfully held today at the Farm Aqua Pavilion in Koronadal City. The activity aimed to provide a comprehensive discussion on the functions and benefits of the program, guide participating agencies and institutions on the EBET registration guidelines, and serve as a platform to openly discuss and address the challenges encountered in its implementation. As a “learn while working” initiative, EBET highlights industry-based training designed to equip trainees with practical skills aligned with the needs of the workforce.

Board Member Ivy Martia Lei C. Dalumpines-Ballitoc attended the activity as the representative of Governor Emmylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza, showing support for the program, which is expected to create more employment opportunities and enhance the skills development of the people of Cotabato. The activity was also attended by representatives of partner national agencies, the private sector, and training institutions.

Division Education Development Plan (DEDP)
2026–2028

The Schools Division of Kidapawan City officially launched its Division Education Development Plan (DEDP) today, March 23, 2026, aiming to establish a clear direction for the future of education and serve as a roadmap toward quality education. The plan focuses on improving the quality of teaching, strengthening student learning outcomes, and ensuring adequate support and resources for every school, while also guiding the implementation of programs and initiatives that effectively address the needs of the education sector.

The event was personally attended by Board Member Ivy Martia Lei C. Dalumpines-Ballitoc, representing Governor Emmylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza, showing the provincial government’s strong support for initiatives like this. In her message, she warmly congratulated everyone on the successful launch of the DEDP and recognized the efforts of the Schools Division of Kidapawan City in pushing for better education. She also shared that education remains one of the governor’s top priorities, as it plays a key role in shaping the future of the youth. PERSONS WITH DISABILITY CODE OF COTABATO EXIT CONFERENCE

The Persons with Disability Code of Cotabato Exit Conference was held today at the Agri-Center, Amas, Kidapawan City, aiming to honor and recognize the individuals who were part of the Technical Working Group behind the successful formulation of the said ordinance.

The event was personally attended by Board Member Ivy Martia Lei C. Dalumpines-Ballitoc, the author of the PWD Code, together with Rosalie H. Cabaya, RPh, and Shirlyn D. Macasarte, RN, who also served as co-authors of the said ordinance. They delivered their respective messages, highlighting the unwavering commitment of Governor Emmylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza and the provincial government to continuously support and implement programs that promote the welfare, inclusion, and empowerment of persons with disabilities, ensuring equal access to opportunities, services, and community participation.

Also in attendance were Ms. Arleen A. Timson, RSW, PGDH–PSWDO; Mr. Crisanto Z. Fermil, Provincial PWD Federation President; and Ms. Teresita S. Poria, Women with Disability President, along with representatives from various partner national government agencies, demonstrating their continued support and collaboration in advancing programs and initiatives for persons with disabilities.

A total of 181 armchairs were successfully turned over to Bialong High School, Calunasan High School, and Datu Ambel High School in Matalam on March 11, 2026. The turnover was personally attended by Board Member Ivy Martia Lei C. Dalumpines-Ballitoc, Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Culture, and Tourism, who represented Governor Emmylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza. She conveyed the Governor’s message that projects like this are among her priority mandates, aimed at creating a positive impact on students and enhancing the quality of education in the schools, with the provincial government continuing its full support to the Department of Education.

The turnover ceremony was also attended by Liga ng mga Barangay Provincial Federation President Bon Bon Bilbao, who also serves as Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Culture, and Tourism; PGO Technical Assistant Alma J. Tuyan; the school heads of the recipient schools; students; and PTA officials.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Philippine National Police Regional Office XII, the Cotabato Police Provincial Office (CPPO), and the Provincial Government of Cotabato.

The MOA aims to establish and commence the operations of the Tourist Police Unit in the province to ensure the safety and security of tourists visiting the area, while strengthening tourism protection, law enforcement presence, and coordination among concerned agencies. The agreement was personally signed by Governor Emmylou Lala Taliño-Mendoza, DOT Regional Director Nelia Arina, PNP Regional Director PBGen Arnold Ardiente, and Acting Cotabato Police Provincial Director PCol Jerson Birrey, marking a significant step in safeguarding tourists and promoting a secure environment in the province.

The signing was also attended by Board Member Ivy Martia Lei C. Dalumpines-Ballitoc, Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Culture and Tourism; Provincial Mayors’ League President and Kabacan Municipal Mayor Evangeline P. Guzman; Atty. Rendel Mangliwan; Provincial Advisory Council Member Grace Lonzaga; officials from various local government units (LGUs); and Chiefs of Police from different municipalities, all present to show their support and help strengthen coordination, cooperation, and initiatives for the safety and protection of tourists in the province.
