The Municipal Treasurer’s Office and the Assessor’s Office convened a meeting with the 27 Barangay Chairpersons to discuss existing regulations on Business Permits and Licensing, as well as Real Property Tax, today at the Social Hall, Maimbung, Sulu.

LGU Maimbung, led by 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐡𝐥𝐚 𝐀. 𝐓𝐚𝐧-𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢 in partnership with RHU Maimbung, led by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐢 𝐀. 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐲, and the PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office - Sulu, brought the 𝗬𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗣 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 directly to our workplace, today at the Social Hall, Maimbung, Sulu.

This initiative provided free medical consultations, laboratory services, and medicines to promote preventive health care and awareness to our public servants.

LGU Maimbung is sharing this official notice from the Sulu Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SULECO) for the information and guidance of all Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) residing in our municipality.

This initiative aims to strengthen health and nutrition outcomes for vulnerable children in the municipality.

𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐡𝐥𝐚 𝐀. 𝐓𝐚𝐧-𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢 attended the inauguration of the Sulu Hall of Justice yesterday. This institutional milestone reinforces our jurisdiction’s steadfast commitment to the rule of law and efficient administration of justice.

LGU Maimbung hereby reaffirms its resolute cooperation with judicial branch for accessible legal resource for all Bang Sūg. Salute to the Provincial Government of Sulu and all public officials who made legal assistance and services accessible for all.

LGU Maimbung, led by the Honorable 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐡𝐥𝐚 𝐀. 𝐓𝐚𝐧-𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢, acted favorably upon the request of Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Office IX by hosting the 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 on October 20, 2026, at the Social Hall, Maimbung, Sulu.

Through this joint undertaking, our coastal Barangays and key fisheries stakeholders were capacitated to identify strategic economic opportunities, articulate frontline concerns, and formulate interventions aimed at strengthening the value chain of the municipality's marine produce.

𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐠 in partnership with the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐗, successfully conducted the 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀 for Youth Tourism on October 17–18, 2026 at the SB Session Hall, Maimbung Sulu.

Over the course of two days, our Batah Maimbung immersed themselves in learning the essentials of mobile photography, videography, digital storytelling, and basic editing to effectively capture and showcase the rich culture, beauty, and potential of Maimbung.

The event was highlighted by inspiring messages from 𝐑𝐃 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐋. 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐮ñ𝐚(DOT Region IX), and 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐡𝐥𝐚 𝐀. 𝐓𝐚𝐧-𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢, alongside the proud presentation of participant outputs and the official launching of our newly appointed Maimbung Tourism Youth Ambassadors.
