HOUSE PASSES ANTI-POLITICAL DYNASTY BILL

BREAKING: Voting 267-20-7, the House of Representatives approved on third and final reading House Bill No. 8389, seeking to prohibit political dynasties in national and local elective offices.

The measure bars spouses and relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity from simultaneously holding or running for elective positions within the same jurisdiction and requires sworn disclosure of family relations among candidates. | via Marianne Enriquez/News5
